Chapter 1.1: Being a loner is SO goth

The elders can't be stopped, but their inhumanity can't be accepted either. Moving to another city accopmplishes nothing, the situation is the same everywhere. Now the only hpe is to band together. As a group, maybe you and the other young ones can resist the political tides that threaten to erode that which makes you human.

Cy looks at the others, everyone seems at least vaguely interested now, but nobody provides a number. Cy looks back to Harold. "Guess not, man... but I don' think she works there, so you may be SOL."

Ali raises a brow. "Is it a nice coat?"

Outside, an SUV pulls up, bearing the rest of the Coterie, minus Foster.

Harold shrugs, "Nice enough, suede and new enough to not show any wear yet." Harold follows this up with a laugh, "Not that any of you guy's clothes ever look worn." He says with a hint of envy in his voice.

Maria setps out of the SUV dressed in he Goth Style. Somehow, she still manages to retaine most of her beauty and figure. She does not speak as the others to file out of the SUV nor does she turn her head to make sure everyone is getting out ok. Maria starts to walk for the clubs door.

Duke directs Leo where to park and then steps out of the car, making sure the doors are locked. He didn't change, he doesn't own Goth clothing, its so low brow. He has cleaned himself a bit, and looks nice, the shades on his face, the eyepod in the pocket, the celphone on the belt clip, the bluetooth on the ear. All of these get removed from view and tucked into a pocket out of sight. He reaches for his wallet, and pulls out a $50, ready to flash it to the bounce for cover charges, and some attitude adjustment if the man needs it.

Bard looks over at Duke, and then down at his cellphone on the belt clip, which is probably one of the dorkier things in the universe. The man just stands there, waiting to go into the Goth club. He rolls his eyes, finding these places absolutely retarded.

The three enter and are stamped so they can buy drinks that their vampire bodies won't allow them to drink. Leo has already gone home. He has work to do during the day, and even though his ghoul boidy is strong, it still needs sleep sometimes.

All three enter, and find that Harold is already here, talking to a group at the far side of the club.

On that side, unheard by the other, Ali speaks as softly as the music allows, "well if you don't find her, I'll take it... her clothes were always nice."

Harold smirks a little, "I ain't a big fan of giving away other people's stuff." He replies. As the rest of the coterie enters his eyes go a little wider and he mumbles some explitive under his breath. Thinking for half a second he finally seems to make a decision. Leaning in a little closer to the uber-goths he tells them
Well if you do see her, tell her to be careful. I've noticed some unsavory folks asking after her...besides just me that is
And turns and walks away.

In fact he just keeps walking until he reachs the door and the rest of the group, "Nothing here." He states and wanders out the door. Outside he starts eyeing around for the nearest alley to duck into.

Duke tells Leo to come back later and pick up the group before dawn. He'll call him if he needs to. Then inside he watches as Harold walks by. He doesn't follow out into the street right away. In stead he goes up to the bar, buys a drink, and lingers for a while pretending to drink it. After about ten or fifteen minutes he makes an off hand comment to anyone around him, "Man I gotta piss..." and he slips out of the front door to 'releive himself in the ally'.

Bard follows along with the others, but he does not seem very interested in what is going on at the present. He does not speak unless spoken to, simply looking around and taking in the scene, listening intently as he does so. The man attempts to pretty much keep to himself and not draw attention to himself at all.

Everyone mingles, or fails to mingle for ten minutes or so before Duke walks back out of the club and into the nearby alley. He finds it empty.
