"Tomorrow," Shamad says simply, leaning over to Sujata, he actually whispers something to the woman under his breath.

Vivec calls on the devatta to clean the food of impurities. It is a smiliar prayer to the ones of Hamin, but different by virtue of teachings. Hamin was from Singh and Vivec from Lakshamna. The food takes only one blessing, as there is not much of it, unfortunately.

Suajta and Shamad whisper back and forth and then she stands up and the two say a few things to one another heated, but still muffled. Toranoshi glances over from his bunk, clearly the dhuka heard something of the exchange but doesn't say anything about it. The woman crosses the small room, takes a bit of now clean food and then heads to bed.

Rhokti watches the actions of the humans from above with some curiosity, but remains a monkey and therefore makes no comment. Once things calm down, he curls back up with pazi and sleeps.

With everything seemingly taken care of Vivec finds a bunk to sleep on and lies down. Just before he drifts off he casts one last spell, rather quietly from his bed and then goes to sleep. He'll need to be up at sunrise to pray to his gods, so there is no reason to stay up any later than the rest of the group.
Cast Sustain on self. I updated Vivec's spells with what I'd like for tomorrow.

Shamad takes a small portion of the rations and immediately lays down as well. He sighs as he reaches the hammock and just shakes his head, eating the food slowly and deliberately. When finished, he simply lays in the hammock and lets sleep take him once more.

Azora packs away the portion of food that he brought from his pack, setting some aside for a moment.

Once he closes his pack back up, the big man removes his armor, sitting down on the stone slab he claimed earlier.

He touches his blade again for a few moments and lets his mind touch that of the blade.

Finally, he eats the bit of food that he had set aside and then lay down to sleep.

Day Eight - Dawn

Post by Vardaen » Tue Jan 09, 2007 12:31 am

Some people eat, some drink, everyone rests. The night passes with one eye open on a few people. This is teh first night with Vivec and if he his some kind of spy or assassin now is a great tiem for him to begin his night time slaughter. The worry in some is unfounded, as morning dawns and Vivec is still fast asleep. In fact its Pazi, the little monkey familar of Rhokti that jumps down from on high right into the man's belly causing a great - OOOMPH! to jump out of him as he's so rudely awakened. The little female monkey leans in right into Vivec's face, sticks her tongue out and gives a playfull, Oooot Ooooot!

Everyone wakes in due time, breakfast of more rations, now purified and drinks from your canteens. The strain of battle is wearing off, and the last vestiages of the disease that was spreading through the group is now fading but Shamad, Azora and Ghanji still suffer.

Shamad stands, dresses, and eats very sparingly. He does drink his fill of the water Vivec produced. "Today may be a trying day," he says, "Let us all pray to the Deva we have their blessings of victory and foresight." When finished dressing and readying his gear, as usual, Shamad walks from Rhotki's shelter and prepares to depart once again.

After spending the morning praying to the water spirits of the area for his daily spells, Vivec throws his pack onto his back and prepares to trudge along with the group. It seems it will be awhile before he's trusted, but then there are worse things int he world than over cautious companions.

Azora awakens, choosing to forgo food at the moment as he prepares himself for the day's travels ahead. The very first thing he does is armor himself up. Then he straps his black blade on. Only then does he approach his pack to withdraw a very small amount of food, which he begins to eat after he settles his pack on his shoulders.

He is now as ready as he will be for the day so he leaves the shelter moving to the swamp. He waits for the shelter to sink back down and then begins trudging along with the others.
