The Innkeeper takes the coins, bites down on one, and then heads off to get back to work. He pauses and turns back around, "You are in the two rooms with the picture of a bear on them." He turns again and is lost in the mix and sea of patrons and the place.

The Mystic sits quietly watching the room. He can't understand the langauge, but the exchange of money is undeniable. "<Ancient> Then we have lodging?"

Toranoshi nods. "<Ancient>The first task is done. Now to send a message to our allies." With that, he moves out toward the street, looking for a likely urchin; in a time of turmoil, they are more likely than not.

The Mystic nods, but remains at his seat, letting Toranoshi handle things from here. The dhuka heads out in to the street and after a few minutes of asking around is directed to the right place to look. There he finds a few street urchins playing a game and harasing one another. The ruffians look a bit salty, used to being around sailors they curse and punch one another until they realize someone is watching them. One dark skined boy step forward, "What do you want?"

"I want you to carry this message for me." A folded piece of paper - a message of their location and the motives of their concealment - is extended, with a silver coin, in the dhuka's hand - out of the boy's reach, but tantalizing all the same. "There's another waiting for you at its destination."

"Two silver? That's it? Make it three and I'll take your letter anyplace in the city." THe boy walks over toward Toranoshi, leaving his friends behind to keep on fooling around a bit. "Cities full of trouble, I don't want to get into trouble for two loosy silver coins." He tries to look harsh and tough, but Toranoshi remembers that look. A look he used to use as a youth himself, its all bluster, and no real confidence.

Toranoshi has made a profit from staunch bargaining with the innkeeper, and remembers all too clearly the years of a misspent youth trying to please his foolish father. Sympathy does not show on his face, trained as it is to not even blink unless permitted.

"Three, then, though if it goes astray there'll be nothing but trouble to reward you." Where the second coin comes from is anyone's guess as far as the boy is concerned; a quick hand and a quick eye are honed by such tricks.

The boy's eyes light up, "Where would you like this taken?" He puts his hand out and makes sure that his friends can see him taking the coins. He glances over his shoulder once to make sure they don't see him, and then pockets the coins quickly. "No trouble sir, not for this kinda money."

The dhuka smiles, "Excellent." He gives the boy the address of Vivec Vaashi, advising he take a roundabout route if he can. Once this business is settled, he turns to the Mystic. "<Ancient>That should see our friends contacted and warned. Hopefully we are not too late."

The kids listens and nods, "I know that area, lots of Brahmins live there. Never want to let them see you around there, or they put you to work. I'll get your letter delieverd." Then he's off with a dart, his friends pause long enough to wonder where he's going, but after looking at Toranoshi they don't ask.

The Mystic nods to Toranoshi, "<Ancient> Now we must wait for Vivec and the others to come to us. Perhaps we should try and collect supplies for the upcomming trip?"

Toranoshi and the Mystic of Nog spend the night in Lakshamana and manage to stay out of any more trouble. They wait out another day for Vivec and Rhokti to arrive at the Inn. Scouting the house of the Brahmin Toranoshi can see they have not returned yet and so a second night in this town is spent by the two as they wait for the Harbingers. The corsair ship is ready and prepaired and if Shamad doesn't arrive soon the Zakharan sailors may leave without you. Yet there is nothing Toranoshi can do but wait...

The other guys are coming. By the end of this week RL you should be merged with the guys, perhaps sooner. Please watch for this and thanks so much for being patient with a rather lame thread :)
