The Mahasarpa Campaign, a land of jungle ruins, an yuan-ti oppressors. Where swami, muni, and devapalas fight to hold back the curse laid on this once great civilzation long ago.
Centuries ago Saurama the Destroyer was locked away, defeated by the Deva of Mahasarpa. A prophecy was spun on the great loom that foretold that one day she would be reborn to take her vengence on the world. This is the tale of the Harbingers of that doom.(A vWorld Expansion)

Realizing that he's simply made himself a target, and drawn the bhut away from Ghost Bane, Janak moves over to land next to Ghanji, at the same time, firing off another barrage of fiery missiles at the ghostly creature.

That's 8d6+8 fire damage at the bhut, Ref save vs DC 24 for half.

Sujata produces a small holy necklace of beads, and quickly runs them through her fingers until she gets to one in particular. She calls out to the Deva, seeking healing prayers and powers for Shamad. A cool breeze blows over Shamad, and some of his wounds heal, his nose resets, and the stinging in his eyes fades.
Janak quickly moves flying toward Ghanji and landing on the ground. He spins around and fires off another fiery barage of missles at the Bhut that is Narmada. The man's fire slams into the etheral woman, blasting away massive portions of her very being. The flame burns her up, and her body fades like smoke under a strong breeze. When the fire ends, the woman's Bhut still remains, but she is in tatters, pieces of her body hang like ancient tapestries, and her legs are completely gone, only vauge ripped piece of body marks the low point on her.
Janak: Move/Energy Missle: Concealment: 85 Succces, Ref Save 20 vs 24 Failed!: 43 Dmg!
The further away the ghost is, the better Ghanji likes her. Again, he lets fly with three arrows, hoping that some of them will acknowledge her existence. As they fly, he steps further away from Janak, where he assumes she'll be headed next.
Ghanji steps forward, toward the Bhut, and fires. The first arrow passes right through the ghost, but that doesn't stop the Shikari. He fires again, and the arrow catches on her shoulder and 'drags' away with it a large portion of her ghostly form. He pauses, takes aim, and fires a thrid shot that hits Narmada in the head. As the arrow strikes her the Bhut vanishes into a falling cloud of ectoplasm as it disapates into the air. A high pitch scream is heard that fates into the ether, "You haven't seen the last of me!"
For a moment everyone holds their breath, but the Bhut is gone!
Ghanji: 5ft, Rapid Shot (Point Blank): Conc: 13 Miss/Conc 58 Success: 20 Hit for 13 Dmg/Conc 87 Success: 27 Hit for 13 Dmg, DEAD
As the bhut disappears, Janak rushes over to Toranoshi, leaning down to see if the shudra is still alive. "Does anyone have a healing potion?" he cries as he examines the injured man.
Try and stabilize him if he's dying - or stand aside and let someone else do it, if someone more skilled offers.
"I had no choice," the shaper says apologetically, looking down at the injured shudra. "I knew he was possessed. But couldn't let him hurt the rest of you any more than he had." Then he looks at Sujata and Shamad. "Are you two okay?" he asks. "I'm sorry I wasn't any quicker in stopping Toranoshi."
"I shall be fine." She looks at Toranoshi for a moment then the others, "We should not feel poorly about this, as he was not the man we knew. These spirits fight very differently and we must not hesitate in the future."
We will find this f-ing troll, and kill it's f-ing ass.
Ghanji, by contrast with Janak does not apologize for trying to kill Toranoshi. He is sure that what he did was right, and strangely, he thinks that Toranoshi would understand and agree more than any of the more softhearted members of the party.
