Kasib watches everyone and yells, "Yes! Hurry! Hurry!"

He does nothing himself.

Janak lights the oil and it burns with a smokeless fire. The Mystic then takes all four pieces and places them into the burning oil, his power protecting his flesh from the flames. He arranges them in order and soon each piece is burning and in the matter of a few seconds they burn down to ash. Smoke rises now up into the air and floats and flies through the air across the chambers. Like some ghost Ahmed watches as a tracer of smoke slips through the room he's at. He steps out of the way as the living smoke takes a bed on the alter he's standing at. A flash of magical energy washes out from the alter near Ahmed and when the light fades and the Sa'luk has his sight back there is a Smokey Quartz statue of a female minstral waiting and ready to be recieved.

"Grab it Ahmed! Let us flee this place and the giggly thing!"

Kasib starts to move for the exit immediately afterward.

Ahmed wastes no time, grabbing the statue...he steels himself as he does expecting some trap but not really having time to bother with it. Figurine in one hand and potion in the other he takes off, "Out...and one of you had better have grabbed my crossbow!"

Success - Third Statue

Post by Vardaen » Wed Mar 03, 2010 7:51 pm

Ahamed grabs the statue, no trap goes off. He races forward toward the exit. Ghanji backs up toward the exit, bow trained on the slime, once Ahmed is behind him he turns around and runs for the exit as well.

Kasib is already there, as Jabiir (with Ahmed's crossbow, Sayyid, Janak and his crsystal Mani all race into the exit tunnel. The back of the outside door has the waiting niche for the statuette. The Sa'luk turned Faris plugs it into the door. There is a great howl at the altar and the ooze breaks free of the enchantment and begins its trip toward you. Moving south it finds its way blocked by the magic of the burning braizer so it moves north and finds its way blocked there as well. So it heads for the middle and begins to squeeze through the narrow passage.

Before it can come even close the inner door rumbles to a close. The shifting of planes is felt and every bucks back and forth at the 'bumpy ride' and the outside door starts to open once more, Ahmed grabs the statue as you all empty out into the jungle of the Isle of the Elephant.

You hold the third and final statue you were required to get. All that remains now is to hope the other group found their three, and to return to the ziggurat before the moon rises half way in the sky.
od I'll PM the statue info.

Success!

Sayyid finds a broken piece of rock and collapses onto it. He knows the urgency of the mission, but he's simply not up to the task of climbing onto an elephant just now. "How many of those healing potions do we have left?"

Sayyid staggers forward and collapses on a nearby peice of rubble. He's beat up badly, and asks for healing.

"We've got two of them left," Janak replies, drawing them out of his haversack. "You look the worst off by a long shot. But Jabir isn't doing well either." He hands the two potions over to Sayyid. "Do we have any other healing potions among us?"

Sayyid takes the two potions and immediately hands one over to Jabiir, then drinks down the other. "Nothing here. And my healing skills are minimal at best." he nods in Kasib's direction. "He usually handles that end of things."
