** Nakan and Ghanji and Toranoshi **

Both men are up and over the gate, it takes them little effort, Ghanji taking longer than the limber Muni who practially vaults over it from a standstill. He lands and darts up the hill toward the movement he saw at one of the tombs. Ghanji is not far behind him, bow in one hand, arrow in the other, his arms pump hard. The movement now appears to have been a few people exiting one of the tombs and slipping off around the edge of the hill, now not visible on the farside.

Toranoshi, hidden, watching, catches sight of motion at the bottom of the hill, and turning to look see's Nakan and Ghanji changing up toward his location, and the location of the crypt where the bleached woman and her companions exited.

"Tails" to tell...

Post by Geist » Wed Dec 07, 2005 2:00 pm

** Hamin & Rhokti **
Yes, indeed. Rhokti is informed of Kalyani's death... and pretty much everything else Hamin has been involved in (as long as it relates to the Harbingers).
Hamin informs Rhokti of all that he has missed while he was away. The Singha Brahmin has been apprised of Rhokti's tendency toward distraction, so he tries to keep the information interesting and his sentences short.

** Hamin and Rhokti **

The monkey man listens patiently right up until the point that Kalyani dies in the story, at which point he begins shrieking and running around, covering his head as if at any second, he expects Durjaya to leap from a doorway and beat him again for failing to protect his humans.

As if this wasn't enough noise, the actual monkey takes up the scream and does likewise, both of them running around and trying to hide under things.

** Hamin & Rhokti **

Hamin tries desperately - most likely in vain - to calm the monkey-man and his monkey companion. When all civil and social attempts fail... The Brahmin reaches into his shoulder bag and produces a pouch of nuts and dried fruit. This combination has sustained him many days and nights. It certainly satisfied when fresh food was unavailable, or when time and continued movement was of greater import to him than foraging. Hoping to distract the fellow with the sight of the bag or the smell of what's inside, he opens the pouch and waves it back and forth, at eye level with the frantic lad.

** Hamin & Rhokti **

Rhokti and his friend do eventually calm, but it has more to do with finding a sturdy table to huddle under than any attempt or offer of food from his companion. Looking under the table, Hamin can see the wide-eyed man sitting and cradling the monkey protectively, rocking like a mental patient. His voice is faint and hoarse from the screaming when he speaks: "Tell me the rest."

** Rhokti & Hamin **

Hamin kneels down at the table and then pulls his legs under himself to sit cross-legged with his balding crown at just above table-top height. (Certainly, a strange sight to any onlookers.)

He transfers some of the 'trail mix', from the bag to his open hand, and offers it to Rhokti and Pakizah-Upahda.

"Kalyani fell to an ambush by a former student of hers. Shikari Ghanji and Vassal Nakan are hunting for him even now."

The milky-eyed Brahmin shares the rest of the tale. He seems quite intrigued by Rhokti and his monkey friend.
As Hamin is still confused as to exactly who or what Rhokti is - his first impression was that Rhokti was a Vanaran - he 'mistakenly' interjects some Vanaran words into the conversation. But if it becomes obvious that Rhokti does not understand them, he stops.

Toranoshi says, "Oh bugger..."

Post by Wargie » Fri Dec 09, 2005 4:46 pm

Toranoshi is about to go and take a closer look at the crypt after watching an odd group of people leaving it. Though as his eyes trails after the company leaving, the dhuka spies two more figures coming in his direction. For the keen eyes of Toranoshi, he quickly recognizes the two coming towards him, and he simply sighs louldly.

"Oh bugger..."

Toranoshi walks up to the crypt, sits down next to the entrance and leaves his ghost world, awaiting to the arrival of Ghanji and Nakan.

Ghanji puts arrow to bow in an instant as he sees yet another figure appear near the crypt, but he lowers the weapon upon seeing it to be Toranoshi. He silently curses, Oh bugger... The Shikari slows his run to a walk and stalks up to the crypt and Toranoshi the other group of people gone over the side of the hill and lost to sight now. "Well, look who we have here. What are you you doing here Toranoshi?" The Shikari spares a glance down at the packed dirt and grass looking at the tracks on the group that lead in and out of this tomb.

"My sources told me that the crypt of, 'Raja Kusagra' would lead down into the tunnels where I fought against Anoop. Though it appears that he might no longer be there as none knows where he might be now.."

Toranoshi silences and looks over Nakan and Ghanji and then smiles, "I guess you found about the same information as me...we have less than an hour before we have to be back for the next meeting.."

Ghanji slips his bow up over his shoulder and stows it away looking over the door to the crypt. "This appears to be the place you are looking for." He points to the words carved above the door, Glorious Raja Kusagra. "Nakan and I have gained some information suggesting that Bali might be found through an ally of his, a woman knowns as The Bleached. We were directed here to the Necropolis." He then glances behind Toranoshi and to the side, "Where is Azora?"
