FRIENDS:
Kalthan Arborus (lowlander, Exp 3/Shm 3) A human living in Anderland. He runs an herbalist shop that has been known to carry elven goods. The Arborus family has been friendly with the Telumehtar family for over a century. Some small trade exists between the two families.

ENEMIES:
None that he is aware of. He's lived a fairly quiet life up until now.

APPEARANCE:
Tall and thin for a dawn elf, with golden blonde hair, skin more tan than pale, and eyes a golden brown. Faldrin keeps his hair cut short, which is uncommon, but not unheard of for a dawn elf.

PERSONALITY:
Having spent so much time in the forest, Faldrin has learned to be quiet and listen. That and his uncertainty about who he is causes him to listen to what the younger races say more so than many of his elven brethren. In addition, his recent efforts to learn more about his past have forced him to begin to come out of his shell, revealing a rare gift with people.

NOTES:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
A hundred and twenty-four years ago, Celerion Telumehtar was aiding an elvish patrol on the edges of the Sildanyr Forest, north of the elvish village of Aric. The ability Celerion had to commune with the forest was of great value to the night and moon elves that had settled the area. And it was this very connection that told Celerion of a disturbance in the outer reaches of the elvish realms.

The patrol hastily made its way to the source of the disturbance to find the remains of a very recent battle in a forest clearing, signs of powerful fire magics much in evidence. A small group of dawn elves had fought a much larger host of goblinoids and ogres to a victory of sorts. The elves had defeated their enemies, but only at a cost of their own lives. The only survivor of the battle was a very small dawn elf baby, hidden in a makeshift shelter in the middle of where the elves had fallen. This child was given to Celerion to bring back to his own. There was no evidence of his identity save for a pure gold ring with a fiery red ruby hung around his neck by a golden chain.

Celerion and his wife Narilia raised the child as their own, calling him Faldrin. He had a very typical upbringing in central Sildanyr, playing alongside other dawn elves, learning those things the dawn elves think important, and preparing to follow in the footsteps of his parents.

By the time he had passed his first century, Faldrin was a skilled ranger, herbalist, and bowyer. He was also gathering a long list of questions he wanted answered. He began to manifest an instinctive magic '€" not unheard of, but his was more powerful than was typical in an elf of his age. There was also his size (he was taller and thinner than any of the dawn elves he knew), his hair (fair hair was common among the elves, but his truly golden color was less so), his eyes (while dawn elves had different colored eyes, purple eyes were still uncommon), and his skin (though he remained pale compared to a human, he was quite tan for an elf).

None of these features was itself cause for notice. In fact, most dawn elves would hardly give him a second glance. But taken together they have made Faldrin wonder about his origin. His parents shared what information they had, but that, alas, was little. And so, unable to find the information he needs in Sildanyr, Faldrin has left the elvish forest to look for the answers to his many questions elsewhere.
