Unn takes a closer look of the shaft of the arrow, and it is of exquisite work. As far as Unn can remember, he has not seen such an expertly crafted arrow.

Unn continues to move around as he looks at the arrow shaft from afar. The mind of the wild man is inscrutable as he continues to try to move around the trapped area hoping to make himself not such an easy target for the clearly superior archer - should they still be around.

Unn moves around the carcass of the deer in search for the area where the arrow might have been fired from. His eyes searches the ground, the trees and even the sky, though the bear like man is unable to see any trace of anyone ever been in the area except for himself and the few tracks of animals.

"Unnnn." He grunts, satisfied that no one is around still. He climbs through the snow between him and the deer. With each step he drives his fur line boots into the white powder. Reaching the deer he leans his battle axe up against the nearest tree, blade up to avoid rusting. He stoops in the snow, drawing his antler bone knife and starting to cut the deer flesh free of his maw like trap. The man goes to work doign his job.

The man begins to remove the animal from the trap, and even though it is freezing cold and the animal is stiff, Unn has had enough experience to handle it with ease. The trap is removed from the animal, and Unn is left with the decision to cut up the animal now, or wait until he reaches his fire. The problem he realizes is that the animal will be quite heavy to carry through the woods if he plans to go directly to his next trap. Ponderings this, Unn takes a decision....

The hunter, traper, furrier knows that you can't leave the organs inside a deer for very long after its dead or the meet gets poisoned. So he does his field dressing right here and now. With his knife he cuts open the belly of the deer from the sternum to the groin. The frozen insides might still be warm enough to spill out, but they might be more like ice cubes, he shoves his hand in there, without his gloves, to test the core temp of the animal to get an idea of how long its been dead. Then he begins to pull out intestines, stomaches, liver, gall bladder, etc. He piles all the organs up into a mound, cutting them free when he needs to, and doing his best to keep his own hide clean, but he's not prissy about it be anymeans. The load is lighter, the meat is safe, and the man's hands are bloody and overed in gore.
