Re: Prelude: Imperial Incursion
Corvan notices the Droid turns its attention away from him and so he's up and moving forward as well. He moves through the jungle foliage jumping roots and ducking branches. He starts to pant at the quick run forward. Dropping to his knee again he rests behind a small rock that seems out of place among the moss, vines, and plants. He levels his rifle, now well within range for his rifle and he fires. The scout then lifts his rifle to his shoulder, braces it, and fires again before Davar even gets a chance. Two red blasts fire from his rifle in quick succesion at the droid. "Okay you floating garbage can, time for a memory wipe."

Re: Prelude: Imperial Incursion
We might actually get this one!
Davar keeps moving, weaving between trees and foliage, trying to deny the probe droid a shot while making one himself.

Re: Prelude: Imperial Incursion
Thank the Force. I was afraid the mercenary would get to rib me about my marksmanship all the way back to base.
Davar sits on a nearby rock, cooling off from the excitement of battle.
"Let's let it sit for a while. We don't want to burn our fingers hauling around blaster-heated metal."

Re: Prelude: Imperial Incursion
Tal stands up as the droid falls to the earth. "Nice shot..." He races forward to the Imperial Probe and takes up a positon opposite Davar scanning the jungle. "Have you never known these things to be alone? Or without a nearby force to recall it? Do what you have to do, we need to meet back up with the others as soon as we can." The hired hand keeps watch and lets Davar extract the memory core from it or do whatever he's going to do to it.

Re: Prelude: Imperial Incursion
"That's the point of probe droids, actually. You drop one from orbit, and it operates completely on its own, without needing further support.
I'd be very surprised if it was here in support of a larger force, but I guess we'll find out when we anylize the memory, no?"
After giving the droid's remains sufficient time to cool off, Davar walks up and just lifts the thing up. The man must have the strength of a Wookie- it's nearly as big as he is, with solid durasteel construction.

Davar attempts to lift the thing, but fails miserably. The thing must weight five hundred kilos easy. There comes a female voice over the communications headsets of both men. "Sergeant Soldat, we have spotted activity in your area, report."

Re: Prelude: Imperial Incursion
Tal taps the comm on listening, but he's not the seargent here, just hired on so he remains silent for the moment. Letting Davar do his thing on the headset he inspects the droid and attempts to eject the memory core to take back to base for inspection.
