Chapter 1: Remnants of the Empire

[Shurijo]

Kaath draw his pistol moments before the disembarking. The Zabrak follows the padawan out of the rear of the craft and tumbles onto the ground. He moves out to help secure a perimeter around the craft and scout for any hostiles.

[TetNak]

The four jump from the transport and onto the ground no worse for wear. Tal spots no hostiles and is the last to leave the transport ship. Immediately the ship takes off and flies back to base.

Soldat calls over his commlink, and there is an immediate answer. "Special forces are in position, you may proceed with the transponder."

[Toptomcat]

Soldat looks around for a place to put the transponder that can be easily observed from a concealed position; when he finds it, he activates the device, and gets to cover.

Hide +3, taking 20 if there's time and 10 if there isn't.

[Vardaen]

Corvan scans the area for a nice hiding place, and also considers going up in a tree, but opts for a location with a better escape plan. He attempts to find hard cover, stone, rocks, or thick thick trees. He moves to the edge of the clear, watching the clearing and the area to the north and west. He settles in, coving himself with brush, and leaves, and doing his best to vanish in the undergrowth.

[Trogdor]

Nic likewise moves to get some cover, trying to find somewhere in the brush but with a rock or tree at his back to provide some protection from attack as well as discovery. He keeps his hand on his lightsaber, ready for trouble.

The Zabrak has already dismounted and moved outwards from the transport. Kaath has his pistol in hand and scans the horizon for any movement while searching for the best available position that provides cover.

[TetNak]

Soldat places the handheld device under some brush, which is found easily in the jungle, and activates the transponder codes. No one is exactly sure what will happen, but the codes are sent, and hopefully whatever it is out there are retrieving it and will be along soon enough. Hiding the group simply waits. Perhaps an hour passes, and nothing happens, until finally a voice comes over Soldat's commlink.

"We have contact. Looks like a droid scout, heading your way, fast, keep out of sight!"

[Toptomcat]

Soldat presses the 'send' button on his commlink twice without saying anything, creating two short bursts of static- a standard way to acknowledge a comm signal without speaking, and potentially revealing one's position.

[Vardaen]

Corvan hasn't moved in an hour. He's dug in nicely, hidden, taking great care and time to do so. He now waits, listening for the repulsorlift engines that might power the droid, and for anything else with it. He flips he scope on his rifle up and waits.

[Shurijo]

Kaath presses himself up against his cover and hopes to make a low silhouette. The Zabrak acknowledges the transmission and keeps his eyes open for the incoming droid.
