What if Daniel howling Coyote lived 100 years earlier? Magic has awoken in the wild west, and justice is dealt out at the point of a gun and the flip of a card.

"Will normal weapons have any effect on this guy at all? Our guns and such? If not, that would explain how he has exhibited this fearlessness in taking on entire towns."

He looks towards the woman who spoke up. "You speak of travel tomorrow. Where should we meet?"

The old man rubs his chin for a bit. "I may have something for you that will help in your mission. I will look and send it with Listening Raven tomorrow."

To the lawman, he shrugs, "A magician dies as easily as a normal man when shot... except when protected by his spells. it is his minions that will be significantly more difficult to kill, being already dead."

That said, he dismisses the group. Listening Raven arranges a meeting in the morning, and everyone is free for the night.
Prelude's end. Chapter 1 will begin shortly and a day later.
