"Come towards the cockpit and take the ladder-well down to the turret, I cant do anything with it from up here." Comes the voice of Marcus over the intercom.

Weapons: A single laser turret located on the underside of the ship, operated by one person, currently assigned to Travis.

Sensor Operations/Co-Pilot: From here Jahn is able to filter information passing from the ships computer to the pilot and gunner positions, allowing them to focus upon only the information they most need and do their job. It is from here that Jahn is the first person to detect the intercepting ships.

Cutting around from the far side of the planet, and at considerable range are two fast attack craft of a design none of you are familiar with. The ships are built with sharp angles and based on the two hooked protrusions at their front you can only assume they come fully equipped with blasters of some type.

Jahn quickly passes the information along to both Cockpit and the guns, but most is directed to the gunnery station. Placing an intercom on his head, he looks the design over. "Master, I do not know the make of this ship. But, it is for violent purposes." As he says this, he quickly scans through the systems, seeing what kind of shields and other defensive systems the ship has.

Travis doesn't hesitate a second once the turret location is relayed to him. Rushing down the hallway his boots banging heavily on the metallic deck he makes for the turret ladder. Grabbing both sides he slips his feet onto the rails so that the clefts of his boots guide him as he slides to the bottom. Hopping into the turret chair he straps himself in, fires up the laser and throws on his headset.

Almost as an after though he flips the switches for the rest of the ship off, jacks up the mic volume, and patches himself into the crew quarters. "Kid you better brace yourself things could get rough." His warning to Karl sent he resets the intercom and gets ready for the impending fight.

Examining the turret he tries to figure out if it has multi-shot and auto shot settings...since a good blanket of energized death will probably serve them best.

The first thing Travis notices when he enters the turret, is that their is that gravity has been set to 0% and inertial dampeners are at 100%. This creates a strange sense of disconnect from the rest of the ship and allows one to move with the spinning turret without loosing self orientation, though the constant sense of falling through space can be a bit disconcerting. The weapon is a side by side dual blaster cannon which seems to operate in either one twin linked shot at a time, or constant alternating fire. The second options seems best suited for creating a wall of burning plasma.

The other ships are quickly in pursuit of the small transport and will be within blaster range shortly (next round of actions). it is then that a voice comes over the ships comm. channel, "Qestor, your ship is in possession of stolen property, shut down your engines and return to Corelia."

It is unclear who is piloting the ships, but what can be told for certain is that the make of the craft is not Corelian.

"Whaaa?" is all that Karl gets out at hearing that he should strap in. Having already determined that the beds are designed to keep a person in them when 'things get rough' the kid just goes back to sleep after making sure that he's got all the straps done right.

Setting the guns to twin linked Travis considers the situation. His arc of fire is limited to the bottom of the ship, if the two split apart and one gets to the other side he'll have little chance of keeping both crafts off of them. "Marcus you better get us into hyper space quick." The solider comments firing up the turret and issuing forth several blasts. Right now he's just trying to keep the ships at range so that Marcus has a shot at getting into hyperspace before they are damaged.

Continuing his manipulations with the onboard computer, Jahn quickly redirects the shield system and angles them for the direction the craft are comming up with. "Shall I dispense with the pleasantries, Master, or do you actually have some retort to give them? If so, let me know and I'll make sure they get the message."

Jahn works on transferring data to the captain, the gunner and adjusting the shields, along with working with the communications equipment. The end result of which is he is unable to provide any specific tactical advantage to any one person. Travis on the other hand seems to need no such assistance as he spins the turret a couple of times to get the handle on how it functions then unleashes a barrage of burning plasma towards the ships at the furthest edge of the weapons range. It's unclear at this range what happened to this ship but from Jahns computer terminal he can see the flicker and fail of the ships shields as the first blaster bolt fired, slips through the shield and continues into the transparesteel plating of the cockpit.

The ship which was hit veers off course and begins flying erratically with no indication that it is going to continue the pursuit. The other ship slips away from the blaster fire and its now erratic wingman, but manages to launch a single torpedo which drops beside the craft and slowly starts falling behind the attack craft like a second wingman.

Over the comm Travis shouts, "Missile on our tail, am I the counter measure or does this hunk of junk come with chaff?" Concentrating inwardingly the solider uses what he knows of the force to aid him.
Activating battlemind, and shooting either the ship if Marcus says we have counter measures or the missle if we don't.

Marcus calls back to Travis, "If you think you can hit it, otherwise worry about that ship, he likely has more than on torpedo." The ship and the torpedo continue their pursuit of the ship as the try to close the gap. Watching the craft and the torpedo it becomes clear that not only is the other spacecraft faster than the torpedo, so is the Questor. Provided the Questor remains traveling away from the torpedo it should be in the clear with only the spacecraft to worry about. The other pilot seems to know something contrary to this and drops another torpedo out to chase behind itself as it works to close the distance.
