Travis doesn't have much choice but to continue shooting at the enemy craft. He can't risk the pilot letting the planet know the feeble condition of the Questor, or destroying the escape pod when they all depart. With little other option Travis closes his eyes and asks the force he know is out there to guide his aim. As his eyes flash open he squeezes the trigger.
Full attack, using force point.

Jahn continues to work the shields and manages to find a large reserve of power that had once been going to gravity in what is now a missing section of the ship. Transferring the power Jahn brings the shields back up to stable level. Karl finds that Marcus has come up to the escape pod and asks in a mater of fact voice, 'œWill she fly?' This is only an odd question because by all accounts Marcus should have a better understanding of what a workable anything on a ship should look like.

Travis closes his eyes and reaches inside himself for towards the force. Feeling the power of the force flow into him Travis goes through his mind on what must be done and envisions the destruction of the other craft with abject clarity. Snapping his eyes open Travis squeezes back on the trigger and unleashes a single crimson bolt into the fleeing craft. The blast strikes into the exact center of the craft and tears the ship in half with the two wings flipping off into space and the pilot vaporized in a flash of ozone.
Jahn-Shields= Roll(20)+Roll(9)+Computer(4)=5d6(33)
Shield Repair=Roll(3+2+6+4+6)=21 points restored
Travis-Attack=Roll(16)+Attack(4)+Force Point(4+6)+Battlemind(4)+Feet(-4)+Pilot(2)+Short Range(-2)+Bonus(7)=Hit(37)
Travis-Damage=Roll(10+10+10+6+3)x2=78 damage to hull

Karl seats himself in the escape pod, crosses his hands over his chest, and waits.

Combat is now over with both pursuit craft destroyed and the escape pod successfully launched into hyperspace. The characters now find themselves on the very badly damaged craft as if drifts helplessly back towards the planet.

Seeing the immediate danger of incomming ships having passed, Jahn does his best to put most of the power into the shields, as they are currently only relying on that keeping the atmosphere in the ship. Standing and brushing himself off of what debris there are, he makes his way to join everyone else in the common area, his hands folded within the large sleeves of his robes. "The decoy worked splendidly...until we moved into the path of the missile. Next course of action, Master?"

"It could not be avoided. The decoy was our only way of drawing their attention away from us, hopefully long enough for us to find a way to escape... Unfortunately that now leaves us without transportation home." Marcus takes a seat and contemplates their next course of action. "I do not wish to abandon ship as this is the only means we have to again leave the planet, unless we find someone willing to transport us. At the same time we have no engines and would be trying to land with repulsars alone which could have disastrous consequences." He looks to the escape pod and seems to make up his mind, "I want all of you to take the pod down to the planet, I will remain and try to bring the ship back in one piece."

Jahn just nods softly, standing as erect as he could. "Very well, Master. Where should we wait nearby for you to arrive?"

Travis looks at Marcus, "No droid that could do it?" Travis asks hopefully, but knows his friend wouldn't have suggested what he has if there was. "Not to be callous, but we need to take food, money, and likely the artifact down with us in case you don't make it."

Marcus seems to be in a somber mood as he nods his head at Travis' words. "There is a survival kit in the pod, but gather what you can." With that he leaves the room to retrieve the artifact. It's an oddly early sight sitting in the common area. From all sensory input things seem fine and the gravity of the ship removes the flipping motion and a lac of windows gives the room a calm that belies the impending reentry which is likely to happen in the next couple of hours.
