Rough Landing

Travis looks at Jahn and shakes his head no then motions for him to hide with him or Karl.

karl makes no move to hide. He makes no motion whatsoever in fact. With a wall between him and those who would find him, he deems silence to be the key.

Outside the wall the sounds of the search party fade and eventually only the silent echo of all of your breathing. It is in the silence as all of you wait in anticipation that the sound of a low almost inaudible tone can be heard coming from Karl's backpack.

Turning his head towards Karl's backpack, Jahn quirks a brow and looks to him. Speaking to him in a hushed tone, Jahn quickly asks "What is making that noise, Karl?" Though, he did his best to keep his eyes upon the entry way in case it was the rescuers that were trying to find them via comlinks and some sort of sith-spawned complicated plan involving feedback and frequencies of those.

Travis relaxes a bit as the party moves out of earshot and prepares to wait for word from Marcus. "Check your pack kid, last thing we need is your light saber exploding and vaporizing that rug you call a haircut."

"Saber's in my pocket... I bet it's the damned plastic cube." He pulls the pack off of his back and sets it down, flipping the thing open with a look of intense distrust.

Karl's suspicion is correct as he takes a look inside his backpack and sees the rather aggravating plastic cube glowing with a faint deep green light. With the cube exposed the writing around the square on the ground starts to glow with the same light. The low hum is almost inaudible and would have been completely unnoticed if everyone had not been holding their breath out of fear of discovery.

Jahn nods, noticing the glowing in the small cube in the floor. Looking to the others, he nods slowly. "I am curious to see what this place will unlock within it." Seeing as no one is charging through the door, he lowers his blaster rifle and uses the strap to sling it over his shoulder.

"Probably not the best thing to do. Marcus made it clear that artifact was something he and other jedi would die to keep out of the wrong hands. Sounds like a weapon...I don't feel like accidentally blowing up a city." Travis says stuffing his ration pack under his head as a makeshift pillow and laying down for a nap.

"Speaking of marcus..." says the kid. "Then pulls out the commlink that the Jedi gave him. "Hey, old man... you still alive up there?"
