Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
Garva and Zihao take off up the beach to scout the lizardfolk village. They attempt to move quickly but at the same time stay quiet. They move forward for about fifteen minutes, until they have a fairly good look at the village from this vantage.
They both crouch in the tall reeds, muck cover their knees, and sweat falling of their brows. Both look upon the village and notice no movement at the moment.

Re: Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
There is no movement.. Strange Zihao takes note of the village and the simple thought streaks through her mind. She uses the mental link between her and Garva to continue to plan rather than speak outloud. She can't see any movement but that doesn' mean there isn't someone around to hear them. perhaps we should move to the other side of the camp to look for signs of life? the silent question is asked as though it was out loud and she waits for an answer.

Re: Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
Garva moves slower and more silently once the pair get closer to the village. He scans the edge of the village for movement, and then begins to count the huts trying to guess at how many there might be living here total.

There are a lot of huts. The huts closest to Garva and Zihao block out many behind it. There are at couple dozen huts.

He rubs his face as he looks with his one good eye into the village. So many huts and no Lizard people around. Can't be good. He attempts to creap up a bit closer to get a better view of the village center, or any larger or more ornate huts.

ZIhao silently agrees with Garva's sentiments about the huts, she begins to move as he does choosing to go the opposite way around than he does, hoping to cover more ground and be able to build a full view of the village between the two of them. where is everyone?! she thinks as she begins to move around the outskirts of the village. She moves quietly as possible through the brush and trees.

Re: Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
Just when the twins think the village is deserted, out comes a small lizardfolk child, looking about the size of a three or four year old. It waddles out of one of the huts and falls down on its face in the muck. After it comes a larger lizardfolk, bare chested, showing its breasts. The lizardfolk scoops up the child and walks off. Suddenly, the entire village is alive. These creatures come out of random huts, walking this way and that ...

Re: Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
Seeing the small child come out of the hut, Zihao stops and hunches down silently in the bushes and begins to count the lizardfolk as they fill the square- trying to gauge how many of them there are and some basic knowledge about them to take back to the others on the boat. SHe looks around for one that might be the leader and thusly the one they must talk to to get any answers.

Re: Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
There are no lizardfolk that Zihao can identify as the leader. The creature's are speaking their native language, and their culture is total unknown to the young woman. Zihao has a hard time counting, they all look the same, and are moving about. But, at the very least, there are dozens of lizardfolk in the village.

Re: Chapter 2a: Garva and Zihao Scouting
Children. I didn't think of them as children.
Garva watches the child waddle out and fall, and its concerned mother come out after it just like in his home town. We can't fight them now. I'm no baby killer, I refuse to do it.
Then Garva makes a critical desicion that will change the course of his life. He steps out into the open, hands in the air, and walks openly toward the village. He speaks in the common tonugue, Mahasarpan, "I am Garva Sen of Abad Alwand I come in peace to speak to your matriach. I am unarmed, and mean you no harm. I only wish to talk." He repeats it again in each of the two other languages he knows.
