Unicorn Scouts 47, Tadao 46, Koshiro 32, Akinori 10, Akira 9, Unicorn Riders 0
Akira charges across the road, bringing his yari to bear against the Unicorn. He slams his yari into the rider with the force of himself and his pony. The Unicorn goes flying of his own majestic steed, slammed onto the ground with a grunt, blood spilling out from his stomach as he groans laying on his back.
Full Attack: 24, Success. Dmg 29, Out
The rider faced by Koshiro attempts to turn his injured horse to attack. He swings, though labored, and is unable to connect with the samurai due to his preexisting injuries.
Attack 28 vs. +15, Fail.

Tadao 47 (+1 ToB), Koshiro 38 (+6 ToB), Akira 15 (+6 ToB), Akinori 14 (+4 ToB), Unicorn Riders 0, Unicorn Scouts 0, Utaku Battle Maiden 0
With the Unicorn nearly defeated, everyone hears a war cry from the south, coming up the road. Two Moto charge forward with their scimitars, while behind them, on a truely magnificant steed, is a Utaku Battle Maiden. The samurai-ko has a helm with a flowing strand of horse hair from the top. Currently, he holds a massive daikyu in her hand ....
Note: I forgot to take Rider 1 off the map. He's gone.

Tadao reacts almost as soon as he hears the thundering hoof beats from the south. He hollars out as he stabs his katana into the ground, leaving standing as a beacon in the morning sun. "More come!". The underbrush affording him some protection as he retrieve's his bow from the frozen ground at his feet. Hurriedly he stuffs his fan back into his obi and reaches across his back for an armor piercing arrow. Hoping to get one shot off before the trio are on top of him and the close quarter combat ensues...
If able to will fire at the daikyu wielding battle maiden (using rank 1 ability, Strength of my brothers). If not will stand ready with arrow as they pass.

Posting for AK. He is sick and hopefully will be back tomorrow
Koshiro keeps on the offensive. This time he reaches upward, stabbing the slightly curved blade into the side of the rider. The Unicorn screams out, gravely injured, slumping forward in his saddle and dropping his scimitar. He breaths, but he does not move as his horse stands idly and without instruction.

Akira look at the Seppun, "Nicely done Koshiro-sama! My tally is up to two gaijin, let us see if I can make it three!" He wheels his horse in time to see Tadao do nothing. This wasted opportunity to put an arrow in the Moto Samurai illicits a snarl from the Deathseeker. "Tadao, Leadership tells us that 'Hesitation is the seed of defeat'." He doesn't hesitate himself. The horse under him charges south back across the camp at a full gallop, the hoves thundering on the frozen ground as snow from trees drifts down before him futilitly trying to stop him from attacking his foes.

He charges again toward the enemy, the Ukatu Battle Maiden his primary target, but the chaff must be seperated from the rice, and so he charges one of the Moto footmen on her flanks. "I am Matsu Akira! Deathseeker of the Lion and I shall send you to Meido, is your soul ready Gaijin?!"

"Make peace with your ancestors, Otaku for today you will be with them. You face the wrath of the Lion! I am Matsu Akinori of the Akodo Bushi school!" Akinori bellows as he closes on the Battle Maiden.
Running to engage the battle maiden.

Akinori runs as fast as he can, past Akira atop his Rokugan pony, and next to the Battle Maiden that looks down and regards him coldly. His breath billows up in the cold air as he moves ...
Run. In range for next time
The Moto bushi screams out. "Is that so, Matsu-chan! I say you die here!" He grabs his scimitar and swings as hard as he can, cutting a gash across Akira's side. The Matsu ignores the pain, still able to move freely even after blood slowly creeps down his leg and onto his side.

Tadao 47, Koshiro 38, Akira 15, Akinori 14, Unicorn Scouts 0, Utaku Battle Maiden 0
The Unicorn Battle Maiden calmly takes appraisal of the battle field. She is obviously no newcomer to the fight and the way of the bugei. Her first moments seem slow, calculating, but then that all changes in a flash. Her eyes shoot down to Akinori, nearly upon her, and draws the first arrow from her quiver. Suddenly, an arrow flies from her huge bow, piercing the Matsu's throat and causing blood to spray out. Akinori cannot talk, panic overcomes him as he grabs at the wound. Only a second later another arrow goes flying, sticking directly into Akinori's chest. Instead of panic, the Matsu samurai feels calm. He drifts through the heavens on his way to Yomi. While, in life, his body slumps forward to the ground, his mortal threads destroyed.
Attack 34, Success. Dmg 36. Attack #2 (Rank 3 Utaku Battle Maiden): 46, Success. Dmg 14. 34 + 14 = 48. Akinori is dead

I would like to point out how luck Var is the Utaku Battle Maiden didn't leap him in ToB ;)
Tadao ... perhaps deciding to fight after one of the Lion is killed ...

Tadao steps forward bow still in hand. Just skirting the undergrowth. "You will not die today deathseeker. Your debt to our clan is not yet paid", he say's under his breath. Once again he breathes in deeply then lets a small portion of the stored air escape. *Twang*. The bow releases as the last bit leaves his lungs. His hand instinctually beginning to reach for the next arrow as the first shaft flies speedily towards its mark. At least Matsu you will have a clear path to your destiny...
Using rank 1 technique and aiming at U5 with armour piercing arrow. After moving SW,SW. Hopefully gaining a bit of surprise.
