Re: Fighting in the Forest
Akira might not be able to act but he can shout, and shout he does, "Finish what you started! Finish me you cowards!" His horse bucks, fearful of the battle now that his rider is unable to control him. The horse rears up, and dumps Akira on the ground a few feet from the battle. With a neigh and a whinny the horse bolts out of the immediate area leaving the Lion prone on the ground, his yari broken on the ground under him. Slowly he reaches for his katana, managing to grab the hilt of the blade, "The Khan's mother is an Eta!" Taunting, the nearly dead Lion refuses to give up the fight even if his body has.

Re: Fighting in the Forest
A puff of heated vapor escapes the lion's mouth as he shouts out. "You are not worthy of my sword, gaijin". The words venomous in their intent. Tadao takes another of deep breathes before releasing yet another in a volley of arrows. There is darkness in his eyes as he stares at the woman. Then suddenly turns and releases the arrow at the last unicorn scout. Hoping to even the odds for the Seppun...

Re: Fighting in the Forest
Koshiro continues his attack upon the battle maiden. His instincts remember how she reacted to his strike, how she tried to avoid the blow that carved along her right arm. He loosens his grip, allowing the blade more momentum at expense of force.
A nimble swing and he changes his stroke, whipping the katana down low towards her abdomen.

Re: Fighting in the Forest
Koshiro does not attack the same way. This is the mastery of kenjutsu. He alters his swings, bringing it down across the Unicorn's stomach. There is only a quick grunt from the woman, who does not move as the katana cuts through her armor. The Seppun feels how the blade slices through her flesh. Suddenly, her intestines burst out of her lower stomach and the gaijin Battle Maiden's eyes roll back into her head. With her guts everywhere, she slumps forward, dead.
There is no other obvious threat from attack.

Re: Fighting in the Forest
Akira lays on the ground doign his best not to groan from the pain of the arrow in his chest. He lets the handle of his sword go and reaches up to touch the arrow. Again I fail. He looks across the field at Akinora who isn't moving or breathing, an arrow in his throat and he closes his eyes. "Go to Yomi clansmen, you deserve the honor." He then starts coughing, and spits up blood into the mempo he is wearing, the crimson fluid trickles out from under it to his neck and chest. With all his effort he undoes the straps on one side of the lion mask and opens it gasps for air, and displaying his one eye and bloodly mouth and chin.

Re: Fighting in the Forest
The Kitsu quickly surveys the surroundings of the camp. Less more of the stinking gaijin should drop from the heavens above. Once satisfied that the area is clear of threat he moves to the fire pit of the camp. Retaking his katana from the earth as he does. With his fans steel blade he fans the smouldering embers before shovelling a small pile of them up onto the fan itself. He turns to his fallen comrades and begins to trot quickly and carefully towards them. This will hurt more than a hungry oni's bite but it should staunch the bleeding long enough to get them some help...

Re: Fighting in the Forest
Akira notices Tadao walking towards him with a warfan full of hot coals. "What do you think you are doing with that?" The Lion Deathseeker coughs up blood, "Leave me be." He starts to close his eyes, then struggles to open them.

Re: Fighting in the Forest
Tadao has seen many battle wounds. Some of which where even his own. He finishes his trek to the deathseekers side and kneels. The coals from the fire sending wafts of thin smoke into the chilled winter air. "Your duty to the Lion is not yet ended deathseeker. I simply wish to afford you the honor of fulfilling your debt.". As he finishes speaking he places the steel fan down on the frozen earth. Sending a *sizzling* sound into Aikira's ear. He then grabs hold of the arrow in his shoulder with both hands. "Do not be fooled this is going to hurt". The Kitsu trying to break the arrow quickly...
