What do you make of them? Do you think they would be an interesting race to add/plan for?

I think they are kinda interesting. The racial breath weapon is kinda cool and the racial upgrade to 5 (vs 3) makes it pretty handy.

I could almost see this race used in lots of interesting ways in a custom setting.

I was thinking they would be special 'lawmen' or the like. Maybe like a wondering band as far as race goes, not many of them, very secretive, etc. They might work for a local lord, policing the area, etc, stuff of that nature.

Sort of an elite guard? That might be nice, if you have a kingdom where a large part of them are elite guards (maybe historically special bred, etc.) and eventually a smaller group of them begin to oppose the ruling class. (lol, sort of like Jafar from Stargate) and try to convert the others to their cause.

Kinda, but I would say they would be totally different depending on what they decide to do. For instance, say we're focusing on a small area, ruled by a feudal lord. He befriends a Dragonborn, which is not easy, as they aren't very widely traveled nor are their many of them. He takes up the mantle to act as a sheriff, or something similar, for the Lord's lands. I think normal folk would not only fear Dragonborn, but also hold a reverence for them, which would make them a good peace keeper.

What would everyone say if I ran this as 3.5?
