I Totally Don't Have Time for This....

Space... The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's continuing mission, to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no one has gone before.

I totally don't have time for this, but I've been watching so much Next Gen lately, I thought, hmmm, I wonder what sort of RPG there is for this. Anyone ever play a Star Trek one? Would anyone want to?

Don't tease me, V! I don't have time for this too, but I'd join anyway if it really took off.

Yeah. I don't have time either, but I'd also love a nice ST game of exploration. More so Next Gen or Original type setting rather than the new movies.

I think you could use EotE AoR rules for game mechanics. It would basically be some officers, engineers, soldiers, pilots, navigators, comm specs, etc.

I would totally do it in Next Gen time period, if I did. I'm DLing some RPG books from the Imperial Library now :)

I played the Star Trek RPG by FASA many years ago. It had a pretty extensive ship-to-ship combat system. The character creation was fun as you chart your character's career through successive tours of duty. Character development was stilted, since you don't gain levels, character points, or roll checks.

What system would you use?

I'm not sure I can even swing this, but wanted to fish for interest. Not sure on system or anything yet, I'm still DL all the Star Trek books I can get my hands on.

Decipher, FASA, perhaps a 3rd party one here. Not sure if any are any good crunchwise or what would be good. Looking at the books I have so far makes me less interested in it! :(
