Oh... and V and I have formal claim on the origin of Elves and Dwarves, Proxied from Wargie.

Halfling origin is mine... I'll think of these all someday, I promise.

I guess shifters are mine as well. Basically, anything that changes shape, except Hengeyokai (which we all need to talk about).

If we are talking ancient history, then I'm still fine.

Could you please define shifters? You don't mean everything with the shapechanger sub-type do you?

No. I'm talking about the PC race shifter from Eberron. I guess I don't really need to claim it.

I stake no claim to Hengeyoki. I just play one.

Rhokti says that Hengeyoki were normal animals that turned themselves into shifters to protect humans.

This may not be true, it's just what he believes.

I think we should all discuss. Bat is not really very knowledgeable. He just knows his kind protects humans. Well, he might no more, but I haven't said what he knows.

Honestly, I would prefer to not know, but if it makes everyone's lives easier to have me in on the conversation, I'll cope.

I see no reason to know or discuss it.

I am running hengeyoki plots as many hengeyoki now reside in the Hordelands.

None are based on their origins or their past beyond what is generally described in the Oriental Adventures handbook (which is very, very vague).

That's fine as well. The only thing I care about is, "Could there be Hengeyokai in IoB?" I think that is obviously a yes, just wanted to make sure.

Otherwise, I believe we've mentioned that most Hengeyokai have been driven from WG. At least that's Bat motivation for being in HL.

Though I may be giving away things in my setting I am formally laying claim to Dopplegangers and Nightshades.

And if possible, I'd like to take over claim on hengeyoki (though I give Var and the WG setting precedence).
