A Strange Offer

I think we are off a day, no biggie

Brandon walks outside, spotting a nondescript brownish car. He notices Melina inside. She waves at Brandon as he exits. The car sits, lights on, across the street waiting.

Off a day from what? Do you have a metaplot running?

Brandon waves back, but doesn't speak until he gets into the car. He seems...reserved, uncertain of what he should be doing.
"How now?"

I think I was planning it to be the following day's night, not the next few hours, but its okay

Melina does not understand, and just shrugs, "We're going to his place. Just be alert." She begins driving.

"Got it."
Brandon rides on in silence for a while, filled with vague apprehension.

Melina drives the nondescript car for a few miles just outside of Hollywood. She pulls up to a tall, probably fifteen story, apartment building. "His apartment is here," she says, "He shouldn't be around." She drives down a sidestreet, parking the car there ...

Brandon is the first to get out, walking around to open the door for Melina.
"Lead the way. I don't really know what I'm doing, so I'll tell you if something seems out of place, deal with it if you're threatened, and keep my head down and my mouth shut if neither of those two things are happening. Good?"

"That sounds about right," Melina says. She also exists the car and leads Brandon toward the building. It takes a few minutes but they eventually get to the elevators. "Floor ten," she says, hitting the up button.

Brandon stays quiet, using the moment of calm in the elevator in a mostly-successful effort to calm himself and focus on protecting Melina and closely watching his surroundings.
At the moment, that is all I need to do; so it is all that I will do.
