Character Generation, Background and Concepts.

Post by Grimathor » Wed Dec 05, 2007 3:07 am

- Players will have start at level eight with 30,000 experience. Note - the drow LA is +2 bringing effective character level to tenth.
- Characters must be full drow, no exceptions.
- Stats will generated via the following system: Ability Stats: All stats start with an 8. You have 44 character points to spend on a 1 for 1 basis on stats. You may not raise more than 2 stats to an 18 or above with these points. Then apply racial bonuses.
- Max hit points and levels one and two, roll two dice for every level beyond and take the higher of the two.
- Allowed source material: Any official Wizard of the Coast D&D and/or Eberron 3.5 supplement is viable, such as the "Complete XXX" Series of books. Note: the Leadership feat and it's ilk are not allowed.
- Characters will have 49,000gp to spend on weapons and equipment, with no more than 20,000 on any one item.
- Alignments: No chaotic evil.

Please post your concepts here.

Will need to read up a bit more on the Drow of Eberron. I haven't cracked Secrets of Xen'drik at all, but I've got to imagine that there is some good Drow stuff in there.

I'm interested. Normally evil games aren't my cup of tea. But I like the way family ties will mitigate that to some extent within the group.

Like Bren, I need to read up some.

No problem folks, they are definately a must read, as they are very different than the "standard" drow.

And if I remember correctly, they aren't an evil race in Eberron, not like in other settings.

They are still evil, but only to non drow. Very tight knit on Eberron.

Can anyone list all the sourcebooks that contain info on the Drow?

I know Secrets of Xen'drik for sure, but I know that I've seen some of the drow information in some other books somewhere. V had showed me a pic of the drow boomerangs.

The ECS has those weapons, Bren.

For fluff other than Xen'drik, all I can think of is Baker's Dreaming Dark Trilogy.

There's a freebie on Wizard's web site about the Eberron drow:
