Haxtes follows as carefully as possible. If silence is important, he will activate his stummer system.

Haxtes Stummer system means that anyone close to him moves with the bonus of almost no sound being able to escape his bubble. With Damien also using Camouflage to blend his form the trio at the back is rather well hidden considering.

Sword turns the corner expecting to see the assassin someplace, but the man is gone, there are a dozen doors and passages and roads that he could have gone down but which one is going to be hard to figure out. Out of two door people appear, just regular folks living their lives moving about the hive. Someone else travels up a road. The group gathers up once more catching up to Sword. A scan for life signs isn't any help, this is a Hive, its loaded with bodies, people are all about and that prevents you from narrowing the search.

It would seem the man has gotten away.

"He is gone," Sword says, letting his power of stealth drop completely, his sword, however, remains manifested. "We should go back to the temple, it will be as I have seen it. There is no way to navigate around fate." He seems resigned that they will draw blood inside, and hardly upset about it.

Jericus nods. "Returning to the temple is the only option," he says in agreement. "We should try and avoid violence if that is at all possible. But we should not avoid our duty out of fear of it."
Back to the temple to try and infiltrate as best we can before bullets start to fly.

Damien does not have the gifts of foresight that Sword appears to have. He simply nods, and heads back to the temple.

Haxtes nods, and shuts off the stummer. Then he is ready to head back with the others.

Joyous Choir Temple: Main Floor

Post by Vardaen » Tue Dec 09, 2014 8:23 pm

Leads have grown thin. You ponder if the assassin catch wind of your tail or simply vanished in the maze of Ambulon's Hive naturally. Either way he's not going to help you now discover more.

So the Joyous Choir Temple is all that is left to explore. Without a night of sleep the group is tired, the whole week has been exhausting, but for the good of the Imperium you press ahead.

The temple stands there welcoming all. In fact you see a pair of citizens head right in the front door. Resigned that you may draw blood inside the temple you head forward and grab the great doors and swing them open. Walking inside you find yourselves inside a rather standard Imperial Creed like church. Rows of pews face forward to a pulpit and lecturn. Images of the Imperial Creed cover the walls while leering gargoyles look down on you. There are about half a dozen people scattered about the room sitting and seeking guidance from the God-Emperor in silent prayer. Doors lead to meditation rooms, back chambers, storerooms and stairwells.

Sword in his impressive power armor and helm walks directly into the center of the temple and peers around. Even though their writ of conduct is clear, the psyker does not pretend to have any qualms in killing these traitors. He first looks for anyone familiar. If they find someone they knew previously, well, that would be a good lead to the assassin.

Jericus moves into the temple and takes a contemplative look at a particular part of the Imperial Creed on one wall. A moment later, he bows his head, as if in prayer. All the while, he surreptitiously looks around to get a feel for the place. In particular, he looks for someone who appears to have some authority in this place that he can speak to.

Damien's tattered robes more or less cover his armor, although he certainly looks odd to anyone looking him over. He, as always, extends his senses into the Immaterium. He doesn't expect to find much more than the normal mundane effect human thoughts and emotions have on the Warp, but it is second nature to him now. He moves forward into the room, intending to stand in front of one of the icons of the God-Emperor while he scans the area.
