Capitulus Decum: The Belly of the Beast

Disgusted, Aesgir climbs his way out of the disgusting fluid, once out he crouches for moment trying his best to prevent retching inside his mask, silently he mutters a prayer asking for strength, a couple of breaths later he stands back up and looks for his mastiff, "Is everyone alright?"
So honest question, how deep is the fluid in the pit? Also, can the cyber Mastiff get out of the pit?

The group, one by one climbs out of the tanks. Aesgir has to aid his mastiff who is holding the side of the fluid filled tanks, but can't get purchase with its hind legs. The group shakes it off, Merica the worst and needs aid from Daminen to do so, but after about ten minutes the group is doing well enough to move on.

The area is scattered with spare parts and other maintenance detritus, is a door set into the shaft wall just beyond the tank. As Haxtes nears the door there is the grinding of gears and the door attempts to open automatically at the Tech Priest's approach. It opens by sliding into the wall, but half way it screams with age and jams itself half open. Darkness dominates the other side.

The look on Merica's face, when the powers of the Warp are used to cleanse her of toxic waste, is ungrateful. She gags on the fuel aagain and sullenly spits some out. After fitting herself with her rebreather, she is good to go.

When the door halts shut, she steps up to pry it open. "Two pairs of hands will have it open sooner."

Whenever possible, she can move to the other side to give someone else room to push.
Merica's Strength is 31, so if others are better, I'll let them take over or just slip through and push/pull from the other side. Haxtes can provide aid with reach I think.

Renik shrugs off the dip into the filth, though he does make sure his equipment is clean before joining the others. Wiping the stinging sludge from his eyes he steps up to the door and peers into the darkness for a moment before turning to the others.

"Anyone else want to step in?" He asks.
strength 30, so not great..

Also, bought new gear too..Can I use my Infra-Red goggles to check the corridor for life signs?

Haxtes assists, using his Servo-Claw to rip out pieces of the door.

The door is wedged, but you manage to move it another few centimeters, its wide enough to slip through one at a time, a bit uncomfortably, but you can do it. Respirators, Infra Red Goggles and other such items are now put on and ready. The entire complex is made of metal or manufactured pieces of some kind. You see wiring conduits, drainage grates, and steel like bulkheads everyplace. You know you are inside some sort of man made structure and not some natural underground complex. On the other side of the door a small room, its poorly lit by a single glowing green, bar-shaped bulb. Below it are a half dozen Servo-Skull Flamebearers. These servo-skulls follow you about as you move and shed light roughly 10 metres from the electorch mounted on their underside.

The floor of this large, circular chamber has collapsed, leaving the enormous churning cogs below exposed. In spite of the time this place has been abandoned, the cogs are still working ceaselessly. Maintenance walkways still cross the chamber, connecting the many doors leading in various directions. On one wall is a diagram of escape routes, headed with the name Pax Macharia. The shape of the diagram suggests some sort of large machine. You are currently in its centre area. Around and below you are other areas accessible from this chamber, but the markings and name plates have long since worn away and are nearly illegible.

Damien is no tactical genius, but he looks discomfited walking around noisy and crowded machinery in a hostile environment, his hearing near useless, and his sight-lines broken. He keeps his Staff at the ready, his nerves feeling a bit frazzled after bearing on guard for hours on end in this ruined Cathedral. "I say we pick a wall and stick to it. For now, that will limit where any enemies could attack us from." He gestures towards the western wall. "This one seems sturdy enough. How about we trace it further in?"

"1010010101010101" Haxtes lets out a string of binary, then switches to Low Gothic. "Conjecture1: We are in a spaceship. Conjecture2: We are in some mechanicus factory or facility." He looks around for any details that might help figure out what this is. If he cannot find anything, he points a finger at the map, where it says 'bridge'. Then he speaks again. "Relocate there. Test conjecture1."

"Seconded, if you can read a path to the bridge on that," Merica agrees. Looking toward Damien, she adds, "Let's keep an eye out for more ghosts. It wouldn't be much of a revelation to observe one phasing through a bulkhead just as easily as bullets."
Will it be safe to fire our weapons after falling into the spoiled fuel?

Yes you can fire your guns safely enough.

Also that bridge label probably shouldn't be there! But you are a bridge, like a structure that spans a open space. Under the bridge are the chomping spinning gears that I plan to knock you into so you get chewed up like falling into a wood chipper!
The group moves out slowly onto the bridges that chris-cross the area. Below the gears spin and Haxtes suggests you are inside some ship or similar machine. The group might also be looking for a command center, or a bridge, but for the moment its move without falling. There are several doors and each has some sort of name plate on them.

Haxtes, Meric and Renik are looking at those moving gears below and each, one by one, notices something. As the gears spin and reveal various arms and clockwork pieces going in and out that a space opens up, just for a moment, under them, there is some sort of chamber below the network of chomping gears.
Ordinary Perception Test
Haxtes, Merica and Renin successes
The others notice a small window box mounted to a nearby wall, with some labels on it.
