The Green Mountains are a mountain range that forms a natural border between Tarindal and Durnalia. This range is named for it's verdant greenery softening the cold granite climbs. This mountain range is noted for it's large number of waterfalls and it's highest peak Mt. Pictian standing at an elevation of 12,110 feet. The Solarun Trail that once ran between the two kingdoms is almost entirely overgrown, shambles of small settlements line areas of this once well traveled road.
In addition to many mineral springs, the Green Mountains have provided a plentiful source of iron ore markedly on it's northeastern borders. The wildlife population includes bears, Ipexes, Goats, and multiple indigenous birds. The Green Mountains are home to the rare frog Litoria verdex.
The amount of the precipitation, including rain and snow, is much greater in the west than in the east providing a Tarindal with the view of snowcapped peaks in the winter, while Durnalia is backdropped in deep browns and greens.
The mountains are sparsely populated, settlements are mainly on the respective kingdom's outskirts. A fabled settlement Erythnia is said to be hidden in the mountains forests where hundreds and hundreds of years ago the first kings of Durnalia decended from.
