I think I've said this before, but I'll repeat, just to make sure it doesn't get lost. I can't make anything on Memorial Day weekend. I've been doing the same thing every Memorial Day weekend since 1990. (Yea, 18 years now - longer than some members of this site have been alive, and since Tet was in 7th grade!)

August is a decent month for me. No holidays to get in the way, we'd want to do it in the start of August cause once the end rolls around people are back to school or their kids are back to school and that's no good.

Either work for me... August is post summer theatre season and would likely be the best for me anyway. I will also have all my vacation days by that point so i will be able to take off the friday and maybe monday to extend the gaming fun.
First weekend in August is Friday Aug 1st- 3rd. The second weekend is Friday Aug. 8th-10th.

I'd actually pull for something later too, I think... since we are aiming to be moving in June (depends on whether we get a house or not, but working on that bit), so May and June are gonna be packed...

Onlything I dislike about august is it can be HOT, and unless we achieve a venu with AC we all might be rather "historically accurate". in the smell department.
