2010 Auction?

I am very excited to not be handling the Auction/Raffle this year. I offically bow out of all Raffle/Auction planning. I don't know who of the admins will over see this or if we'll let someone else take control, but it ain't me!

I just was going to do something slightly larger for this next year if it was going to happen again.

I have had a great time organzing the raffle.auction for the last two years. This year was great, we had some awesome things from JP, Joni, MV, Connie, and others, but I would love to see someone else handle it.

No idea who the admins would want to have take this on (its really not alot of work), but I'm stepping out of it this year.

I can handle it if you want.

and MV you can put whatever start price or reserve price you want on it. I put start prices on my stuff. Also i was thinking of a separate raffle for a big project of mine. we don't have to wait for Brencon to raise money.

True but then you have to deal with shipping. And with my medium being steel that can get expensive quickly.

yeah or you can just say they can pick it up at the con. we can set up something with a raffle to have areserve met for an individual item and then have the drawing at the con. that would make sure that it reaches the amount you want in time.

It strikes me that if something needs a really high price- we should see if there is a desire for it. Maybe it's just my personal cheapness- but I would hate for you to spend a bunch on something and then have the cost of materials so high that no one can afford the coolness.

How much are we talking about in terms of starting price?

it doesn't have to be an auction so that one person is paying for it. I was more talking about doing a raffle and setting a monetary goal to be reached before a drawing is held.
