BC2010: Sleep? Who needs sleep!

Post by Vardaen » Thu Jul 01, 2010 5:02 pm

So this thread is to sort out places for folks to sleep at during the Con. We have some international folks (Hayabusa and MAX_Power) so we need to find room for them to crash at someone's house if at all possible. They are already paying for plane tickets from Europe, who can house these guys a few nights?

We can also sort out where other people are staying, so if you need a place or have a place let's talk it out here.

There are plenty of hotels real close to the game store this year.

The Con is Located at Jupiter Games Here:

You can see a Howard Johnson, a Hampton Inn, Courtyard Binghamton, and a Holiday Express nearby. (Within walking distance, not that someone wouldn't pick you up). And chuck E Cheese!

I checked our tickets again and we should arrive a little late. The flight from Dulles to BGM is scheduled for a 2332 EST arrival.

Alright, since BrenCon is getting closer really fast, I'm planning mine and my brother's stay in Binghamton.

If we're not bestowed the honor to sleep at the home of one of the great residents of the town, I'd like to know if someone can recommend any of the places mentioned in V's post.

I remember that there were plans for all non-residents and BreCon-attendants to pick the same place, but I didn't see anyone talking about it anymore...

I haven't stayed any any of these places, but they should all be fine. The closer the better probably just because. I'll check around and poke some folks about rooms for you guys to crash at.

How long is your layover at Dulles? I live ten minutes away and work about fifteen minutes away.

I don't know, because I don't have the documents with me right now, but I think it's about three hours.

We'll return to DC at monday anyway, where we're going to spend a week before our return to Germany.

I'm not sure about that either. I think it was Helix Hotel or something like that. It lies approx. a mile north of the White House...

Hmm, that's right near Dupont Circle, so it's a definite possibility. Let me know what your schedule is once you figure it out.
