Egbert swings again, and again he strikes the ceiling with his huge bastardsword. The man can not seem to get used to his large size and its interfering with his strikes. Each time he bumps into something, or hits the ceiling or the wall and each time he misses the Bugbear.
Egbert: Attack Bugbear: 15 Miss
Lehros loads and fires, his bow sings as the iron tipped arrow slams into the last Goblin on the stairs killing it instantly. The goblin topples forward, his arms windmilling around as he topples over the railing to fall with a crunch on the ground atop the piling bodies there. "There are still more upstairs...what are we to do?"
Lehros: Rapid Shot Goblin #5: 24 Hit for 14 Dmg! Dead/No Target
Saeldur...
Remove Goblin #5, and Bugbear #1 from the map.

"We hold here to let Macalanios do what he needs to," Saeldur says, glancing back at the artificer. "The Moon Gate must be kept out of the Frostlings' hands."

"<Anhel> We'll buy you the time you need, cousin," he adds, looking at the elderly Sylvanhel working furiously. "Can you use the gate's energy to get the children of Kylorin out of here before the energy release? They're more important than even the Moon Gate to the downfall of Mulcarn. They must not fall to the Frostlings."
Delay until after the Frostlings go.

Saeldur replys to Lehros who nods to the much older Anhel, "Right!" The sylvanhel summoner then calls to Macalanios, and the even older Anhel turns and looks at Saeldur. "<Anhel>Perhaps! Perhaps I can refocus it...it, will be wild, uncontrolled, and someone..." He then grabs a tendril of magical power that arcs off one of the menhir, and like he's weaving string draws it back around into the main power flowing off the stone, "Yes! Yes I can do it. I need just a little more time."

The Frostlings begin to poor down the stairs again, this time even more of the goblins come bounding down the stairs, Egbert and Flint both cut down two of the Goblins before they reach the base of the stairs, but that doesn't stop the tide, a dozen of the creatures are all about, javelins flying, and Lehros and Vibikra both this time take spear hits from the volley of attacks.
There are just too many rolls to show.

Lehros -3 hps, Vibrika -4 hps
The Bugbears continue to push their attack, and in fact two more appear at the top of the stairs, they have long chains in their hands, and are pulling on them, the roar of something above echoes down. Everyone has heard that roar before...Ice Troll! They have an Ice Troll! Egbert and Flint manage to dodge and knock away the ground level Bugbear Frostlings with weapon and shield, suffering no hits yet again.

Seeing the swarming ice goblins, Saeldur once more summons a fiery burst. But it's so little, he observes. If they keep swarming down like this, he wonders just how long they can hold them off. But aloud, he offers only encouragement. "They're only Frostlings!" he shouts. "Show them that they're no match for men and elves!"
Standard Action: Summon Fiery Burst to cover G1, G2, G5, and BB5.

Saeldur shouts to encourage the group, and Vibrika's song still lingers in your hearst keeping your swings strong and your spirits high. The Elf once again draws on his power, and unleashes a fiery burst in the middle of some of the foes. The Bugbear on the stairs manages to avoid most of the blast, the railing defending him, but the three goblins caught in the blast are burnt to a crisp and fall smoking to the ground screaming and writhing in pain.

Vibrika holds her picks ready to attack the closest goblin. She takes a quick step forward to attack the closest target, not wanting to get too far from Malcanios in case he needs healing to finish his work on the gate.

Vibrika moves forward, and swings her bronze pick at the goblin. The woman isn't the strongest or the most agile when it comes to attacking, and it shows as she swings widly missing the Frostling by an arms length. The goblin laughs, "You never hit me!" He readies to counter attack Vibrika.

Macalanios continues to fight with the Moon Gate, but the pulsing magic of the gate starts to change. The wild sparking and humming has now turned into a steasy thruming, power leaks all over, and the Anhel is pale white, his hair color has leached from him, and he staggers falling to one knee, as lines of pure magic connect his chest to the five stones. "<Anhel> Almost have it...be ready Saeldur...be ready to travel..."
