Surrounded by his brothers and sisters in the ruins of an ancient magical city, Flint Striker is overcome with a calm and a joy; this is a life he could not have dreamed of, and he would trade it for no other.

He knows that he must not fall - indeed, that has always been the lesson of his life. And so, undeterred, a happiness in his heart, he swings again to attack!
Trading 2 attack for 2 AC, then attacking Bugbear 2

Round 5 Initiative: Flint 17.3, Egbert 16.2, Lehros 16.2, Goblins 16.1, Bugbears 13.1, Saeldur 13.0, Vibrika 8.2
Flint 27/50
Egbert 41/52
Lehros 8/21
Saeldir 23/30
Vibrika 14/26
Flint is filled with a clam and a joy as he battles for his life and the life of his half brothers and sister; and more too, there is more on the line than just their lives. He knows he can not fall, so to make that easier he chops the head off the shoulders of the enemy Bugbear before him. That helps alot having fewer enemies around.
Flint: Attack BB: 'œ20' (Crit: 'œ1') Normal Hit for 16 Dmg, DEAD
Egbert, who's had some trouble with his new size...

Egbert adjusts the grip on his sword and this time, he tries to use the point of his sword to impale the bugbear before him.

Round 5 Initiative: Flint 17.3, Egbert 16.2 Lehros 16.2, Goblins 16.1, Bugbears 13.1, Saeldur 13.0, Vibrika 8.2
Egbert changes his grip on his sword, and stabs with it. That seems to work, as he slides the large blade into the belly of the Bugbear right through its armor causing the blade to errupt out of the back of the creature, severing its spine and sending it to the ground in a blood mess, very much dead.
Egbert Attack BB4: 'œ20' (Crit: 30) Crit for 31 DEAD

Lehros backpeddles a few feet and launches an arrow into the nearest goblin killing it with one hit. That removes the threat from around Vibrika. The young half elf reaches into his quiver, "I'm nearly out of arrows!" He fires again at the Bugbear on the stairs, but strikes the side of the stonework missing.
Lehros: 5ft W, Rapid Shot: G4 21 Hit for 10 Dmg, DEAD/11 Miss
The Snow Goblins then begin croaking and howling moving in on the three normal sized heroes. One leaps at Vribrika and strikes her with his short spear, stabbing her in the leg.

Another hurries to attack the woman as well, but it turns its back on Flint Striker, who takes the rare opportunity to cut the thing down after having left the stairs. The man's axe cleaves the skull of the moving goblin in twain.

Another goblin hurries past Virbika going for Lehros, as its sick of seeing those arrows everyplace. As it moves past Vibrika she hacks into with her pick, the weapon leaves a nice hole in the side of the Frostling, but it doesn't kill it outright.

Two more attack Flint, one of them ducking under his reach and stabbing him in the shin with its small javelin. The wound is small but even enough mouse bites can kill someone. The other goblin attacks, and Flint bats the weapon away with his own.
Goblins
#3 5ft, Attack Vibrika: 17 Hit for 4 Dmg
#6 Move, AoO Flint: 21 Hit for 9 Dmg, DEAD
#7 AoO Vibrika: 20 Hit for 5 Dmg, Attack Lehros: 17 Miss!
#8 5ft, Attack Flint 17 Hit for 3 Dmg
#9 Attack Flint 7 Miss
Then the Bugbears fight on attacking Egbert, but the large man is very comfortable with his large size when it comes to defending himself. He sweeps his huge shield down and blocks the morning star of the Bugbear. Another bugbear on the stairs lets go of the chain its holding and races down the stairs, just into the swing range of Egbert. So the paladin takes the opening and stabs the forstling in the chest killing it in one swift blow! The last of the Bugbears moves and leaps over the stairs dropping to the floor away from Flint and Egbert, but he's looking up the stairs more worried about what's up there than down here.
Bugbears:
#3 Attack Egbert 19 Miss
#5 Move: AoO Egbert: 28 Hit for 21, DEAD
#6 Move/Jump
Then the roar of an Ice Troll rings out, and the mason work around the stairs breaks away. A huge troll smashes its way onto the stairs. Its tight and oversized on the stairs and is forced to squeeze itself down them. The railing break and fall to the floor shattering as it moves thunderously down the stairs, not yet joining the fray, but in seconds it will be on you all.

Vibrika takes a few steps backwards towards Lehros, feeling foolish for leaving his side. Once she reaches her new target, she hacks at it again with her ice pick.
5ft step back w, attack #7
We will find this f-ing troll, and kill it's f-ing ass.

Saeldur also steps back, out of the way of the snow goblin, drawing his dagger as he does so. If it came to having him fight with a blade, they were in a bad way. But it paid to be wary. Then he makes the familiar magical gestures and speaks the familiar magical phrases that summon another burst of flame. It was unlikely to bother the ice troll over much. But it might get rid of the snow goblins and free Flint to act.
Delay until after Vibrika acts.

Move Action: Draw dagger. (I might have already drawn it. If not, do it now.)
Standard Action: Summon Fiery Burst to get G9, G8, and the Ice Troll
I'm actually not going to cast defensively. I think the odds are better for just letting the snow goblin take a swing. And Vibrika might take it down.

Yea, I could drop back and cast safely. But we need to keep a solid line.

Round 5 Initiative: Flint 17.3, Egbert 16.2, Lehros 16.2, Goblins 16.1, Bugbears 13.1, Saeldur 13.0, Vibrika 8.2
Saeldur just stands where he is and fires another bolt of flame. The small gobling near him swings at him, but misses, its weapon striking the magical enchantments protecting Saeldur. The fiery bolt errupts in a small burst killing one of the goblins and wounding both the Troll and the other Goblin pretty badly. The Ice Troll's body is burnt and charred, and the wound look bad!
Saeldur: Draw Dagger, Cast Fiery Burst: AoO Goblin: 15 Miss: Ref Save 17: #8: 19 Success 4 Dmg, #9 9 Fail 7 Dmg DEAD, Troll 7 Fail 7 Dmg
Vribrika then steps back to help her brother, and swings, and misses again. The pick slips in her hand, but she recovers, but the goblin has avoiding the clumbsy attack with ease.
Vibrika: 5ft, Attack #5: 12 Miss
Then something happens at the Moon Gate, the entire energy in the chamber changes. The room is electrially charged, and everyone can feel it, even Flint and Egbert. The black magic is now blue, and Macalanios is traced in magical fire, his body actually acting as a 6th power stone. He shouts in the common lanuage so the others can hear, "It is time to leave!" Then he changes back into Anhel, "<Anhel> I have stopped the feedback, the other gates are safe. This one, is not, it will explode and I can not stop it. The gate is open Cousin, take it, flee with the Archmage's Children, they must be safe. I...I have failed, I am sorry, but you must hurry, you must leave NOW!"

White light sparks off the top of the stones, a bolt of lightning strikes a part of the southern cave, and the ice there shatters exploding with a blast of icy shrapnel that rittles the dead body of the Mammoth Shaman. A hole in the ice causes the whole area to creak and crack, suddenly the wall gives way, and water, fluid water begins to pour into the chamber flooding it once again! Another bolt of lightning arcs to another area far to the north blasting the wall, causing a cave in to occur. "HURRY!" screams Macalanios as his body is being charred with each blast.

NOTE: Each round, more and more of Parth Ernil will cave in on you. You have a limited (undisclosed) amount of time to escape. If you don't, you are doom. Its also fairly clear that there are DOZENS more Frostlings in the chambers above in the tower that you didn't explore.

"Egbert, Flint!" Saeldur shouts. "Back to the gate. Now! Let me know if either of you need to be small again to make it!"
Thank God that Enlarge Person is dismissible or Egbert would probably be doomed.

"And here!" Flint Striker cries; with frostlings flooding down the stairs he knows the icy rooms will be hard enough to navigate small...
