The guard nods, "Greetings Anhel." He listens to Lehros and shakes his head, "The Doveillo have not attacked yet. You have been sleeping since your arrival yesterday day, it has been a full day I would say since you arrived." That means its night of the 5th day since Lehros left the others.

"Your clothing was taken to be mended, much of it was ruined. Your things were left in your room with you. The tailor made sure to empty your pockets and the like. Are you missing anything?"

Lehros nods, it's good to hear that the attack has not yet begun. But the worries about fate of the blue piece of silk keeps him from showing relief.
What if the tailor just threw the threadbare shred away, ignorant of its significance?

"Y-yes... in one of the pockets. A piece of blue silk..." Lehros lowers his eyes, clearly under distress.

The guard gives a puzzled look, "I don't know really what he did with things. I was told everything was piled up on the table in your room. Did you search there already? I can call for the tailor if you want." The guard shifts his weight to get more comfortable as he talks.

Was there some of Lehros' stuff on the table? Thought there wasn't...
Lehros tries to recall if he overlooked something in the room, but doesn't want to waste more time with going back and looking again. He's getting more and more nervous, the longer this takes. Why did they have to take his winter clothing away, it had served him well for years...

"Call for him. Please. ", he asks the guardsman, who probably can't understand the strange boy's anxiety at all.

"his bow resting against the wooden wall next to his pack of things"

Never know what's in there, might be might not be.
The guard nods, "Sure thing, you want me to send him to your room?" He sort of looks down at Lehros' barefeet and wonders if the Anhel wants something on them or not, but the guard opens the door behind him, another chamber is visible there. "If you are hungry there is food in here for you as well. It will take a few minutes to get him, relax, I'll be back." He then heads off to fetch the tailor.

"yes. "
Lehros nods. He is about to turn and go back to his room, to check if he overlooked something, when the guards mentions the food and stops him in his tracks.
The young scout has always had a weakness for human food, and realizes that he's really, really hungry after his long march.
When the guardsmen has left, he enters the chamber, with every intention to grab some food.

Lehros is going to head into his room to search again, but is distracted by the offer of food and his rumbling stomach. So he heads into the dinning hall where there is food laid out for him and others to have. Two kettles, one of hot broth and the other of thick stew sit bubbling on a nearby fire. Hard oat made bread sits on the table next to sheep's milk cheeses, and several clay posts of pickled herrings (caught from the inland sea). A rack of ribs rest near the fire on a spit pulled away to just keep it warm, a rub of black pepper covering its well cooked outside. Two large pitchers, one of water, one of mead wait on the table as well to be drunk down.

The guard will not return for nearly twenty minutes...

Just as Lehros is arriving in the chamber, the far door opens again and in comes a woman. She show signs of travel and the winter weather. With her is another guard who comments, "Wait here, once the king is ready he will see you." He then closes the door and exits back into the main hall beyond.

The woman pulls off a pair of goggles from her head, exposing her face. She is pale, with many piercings of bone and bronze on her face, including her nose, cheeks, eyebrows, and ears.

She is strikingly beautiful, except for a strange dent in her jawline, which makes her chin sit slightly off-kilter than it should. At the 'dent' is a thick, frostburnt scar, in the shape of a tiger's claw.

Her blue eyes look from the guard to Lehros, pulling her fur cap from her head as well, and exposing long, blond, braided hair that now tangle with the pack, skis, poles, bow, quiver, shield, and sabertooth skull club that somehow all reside on her back.

The woman inclines her head slightly.

Standing on the other side of the chamber is what seems to be not more than a boy at first glance. He is not very tall, and the fact that his wiry frame is loosely clad in a coarse woolen garment of Elk design, too large for him, underlines this impression even more. Apart from the basic clothing, he carries no possessions, no belt, no weapons, no pouches - not even shoes.

But something is very odd about this boy. His fine, chin length hair is of a strange color - light blue and white, like the ice of glaciers. His skin is paler than that of the woman, though he blushes slightly upon meeting her gaze. And his piercing white eyes prove without much doubt that he's not entirely human.

The barefooted youth was headed straight for the food, but stops dead as the woman looks at him. He nervously lowers his head and turns it, so that only the right side is facing towards the newcomer. But since he's standing in the open, with no cowl or scarf to hide his features, she might have noticed a dark shadow on the left side of his face.
The boy tries to mask this gesture as a return of her nod, but it's easy to see through this ploy. It's awfully obvious that he's trying to hide his face, as it is obvious that he is nervous and ill at ease.

His eyes dart to the food, back to the woman, and to the food again. He seems to be quite hungry.
Dunno if she knows the snow elves... if yes, well, he's a half-anhel.
