Durnic pushes himself to his feet, "We can't give up, not while there is blood in our veins and breath in our lungs." He glances down at Redolf. "If we can save even just one more person it will be worth it. Come on Dal, you really aren't that lazy are you?" He gives a joking smile and limps toward the door of the house, "Lets try checking some of the larger buildings, perhaps others are hold up in them. Like Nor's Dried Footstuffs Warehouse across the street." Durnic makes sure someone has the lamp, Dal or Dunstan and then pushes out into the street through the front door. Across the street from the Inn is the warehouse he mentioned and he pauses giving the town a good looking over from here.

Dunstan looks down to one of his seeping wounds. "It doesn't seem like some of us are destined to have that blood in our veins much longer... I need to get some help... REALLY soon."

He takes the lamp from whoever has it, and sets up behind the others, lamp held up and axe in one hand.

"Checking one more place is ok, but I think we should head back to the Inn soon too. At least check in there and see how the girl is doing."

Dunstan and Dal do not quite seem as interested in moving on as Durnic. Dunstan is hurt, and perhaps Dal is practical. Fern does not say anything either way. He was tasked with protecting the villagers, and that is what he is doing.

When they exit the home everyone looks around, but have not totally decided on their direction as of yet. Dunstan moves around his lantern as they look about, but, unfortunately for them, spot about a dozen people lumbering down the street toward them, and perhaps the inn on a little bit away. There are all kinds of groans and moans coming from the group ... In the dark distance none of them can be identified as of yet.

Durnic points at the zombie mob, "Is...is that more of them? We can't handle that many in the shape we are in." He looks up and down the street making out what he can in the lamp light. "If they keep going they will reach the Inn, and my family, and the others. We need to warn Chaster...come on." He himself lumbers a little like a zombie with his wounds, but even still he hopes to out run them. "No time to waste, lets go." He heads back to the Inn as fast as he can.

For once, Dal agrees with Durnic's logic of fleeing. He moves fast down the street back to the Inn, hoping that they can secure the building from the mob entering it.

Fern nods, but stays in the back, to be the last person in the group to get to safety. He is prepared to hold off some of the zombies if necessary in order for everyone else to get to the inn.

Dunstan nods in response to the other's statements, not voicing anything else, but the lantern bobbing is enough to know that he too agrees and is hightailing it towards the Inn.

The four men run much faster than the walking dead. They hurry back to the inn, the door opening when they get close. The marshal is standing there, looking at their hurried and worried expressions. He asks quickly, "What is wrong?" Besides Touravic, only Chaster is in the room, sleepily leaning against the bar, waiting.

Durnic stumbles into the Inn panting, his wounds are catching up with him . "Horde of the Sick, they are shambling this way. Get ready Marshall you'll have to put your sword where your mouth is and maybe break a sweat tonight. They are coming, and they won't be reasoned with." Durnic moves to behind the bar, grabs a bottle of hard liquour and pours half the bottle on his wounds, and swings down another few gulps to numb the pain. He bangs the bottle on the bar to wake Chaster, "Get up Chaster, they come for your prescious Inn." He leans there a moment catching his breath and swiging another mouth full of spirits.

The marshal steps back, "Get inside!" He curses and shakes his head, "Lock the doors and the shutters. Hopefully they won't be able to break through!" He immediately slams the shutter of the window he has been looking through shut, and pulls down the pin through the lock. "We should barricade the doors as well ..."
