Re: Another Zombie
Durnic makes a sign that he's happy the Marshal has finally left. How he ever became someone of rank is beyond me. Then Durnic is off to find his son.

Fern nods and goes and does what he is told. He waits for Chaster to come with him, thinking that the pairs idea is a good one.

Re: Another Zombie
Dal nods and waves his hand at the lumberjack motioning him to follow him out. The woodsman knows the town pretty well and so, he lays out a route that will walk the two through the more populated areas so they can sound an alarm or shout for anyone living to come out while keeping their guard up to protect against running into the walking dead once more.

Re: Another Zombie
Traveling in pairs, except Durnic, no one finds anyone alive. The only dead that are found were those killed by Durnic, Dal, Dunstan, and Fern the day before.
A wagon, and plenty of goods, is brought back to the inn. Touravic is gone, to the keep, apparently. Mid-afternoon is now upon Whitewood after the long and exhausting search for any survivors. Strangely, there is no sign of the zombies either ...

Re: Another Zombie
Durnic returns to the wagon, his wife, daughter and the other girl the only ones saved from the zombies. "Anyone find anyone? Durnic is still hopefull that his son is alive, against all odds." He leans against the wagon and tosses his smithing tools on the wagon. His wife no doubt has already packed bags for her and the two kids, it looks like the orphan girl will be his newest daughter. Panting, his wounds hurting him greatly, Durnic looks tired and blerry eyed from the night before, and the lack of sleep, and the weight coming down on him abou this life and family.

Re: Another Zombie
Dal looks a bit disheveled from the long nights and long walk through town. He is the bearer of bad news for Durnic and his wife and doesn't want to tell them the news right away. But when Durnic asks, Dal responds, 'œThere wasn't any sign of Daniel. Maybe he fled town. Does he have a hiding spot anywhere? We called for him, but there wasn't any responses ' from anyone.'

Re: Another Zombie
Durnic's face drops, the wind taken out of his bellows. You can see the man, who has been strong this entire time, break. He leans up against the wagon, holding himself up on it. "He...he is a smart lad. Maybe he ran for the keep last night." His wife breaks down worse than Durnic and turns on the waterworks, a wailing cry, and then the blubbering of a mother who has just finally realized her son is really dead. Durnic gives up and grabs hold of his wife, the two crying and trying, in vain to comfort each other. "Why?! Why?!" The wails are a mix of Durnic and Peony both. Their daughter grabs hold of their legs, hating to see her parents like this, she begins sobbing as well.

Re: Another Zombie
Dunstan remains quiet, even though he was shouting his head off and rapping on anything he could while looking for more survivors. Especially quiet as Durnic's family breaks down in front of everyone.
He has nothing to add, but quickly goes about moving anything that isn't loaded yet into a wagon.

Re: Another Zombie
Finally the villagers are forced to the keep. The keep is totally intact and no zombies are present. It takes a great deal of convincing from everyone to come back to the town and purge it. However, when the army returns, there are no zombies, no people, but everyone seems gone. The village is totally abandoned in six months as the reports of zombies, ghosts, and other evils are reported. All the villagers are transported south and take up residence in Longdark where the priest Sean is holding service. He explains the body was taken by Imperial forces for study. No other outbreak of evil had happened there, and everyone was safe, for now.
Who knows what the future will hold? Longdark is not /that/ far away from the evil of Whitewood.
