Issue 1: Origin Stories

Commerce City, glorious American beacon of business and model metropolis for the world, is under the constant threat of supervillains. The police are either too helpless, incompetent, or smart to oppose the dastardly madmen (and madwomen) that would unleash havoc on the lives of the millions of commuters that call the city their home. Are there any heroes that will heed the call and defend Commerce City for free.

The Spark strikes a pose, supposed to be heroic, and takes to the skies, missing a lamppost by mere inches. He flies slowly, following Charade's car.

Billards needs a lift, but Charade peels away at speeds certainly fast, but not illegal. The young man poses a few times for the camer and then leans in to Lana, "Don't you have some nice flash bulbs. Ever think of doing an exlusive, private, interview?" He smiles, poses, turns, poses again, etc...

"Message Received," Charade says to Hernando seated next to her. Making a mental note to tell Blue Boomerang to avoid texting her because it costs extra, her car speeds towards HOTSTUFF headquarters.

The Butcher, rubbing his aching head, stands up and looks around. "My word. What a strange day." He begins to consider possibilities for the trip back to HQ.

The Spark flies above Charade's car, slowing down to match the car's speed and also heading for the HQ.

Billards Boy flirts with the reporter, offering to give her the private interview, but he will only do it in her car as she drives him back to the HQ. The young man pours out all his charm to get the lady reporter to give him a lift home.

Reflecting a moment, the Butcher reaches into his pocket, pulls out the Unlimited Transit Pass (SWEET!) and heads to the nearest bus stop. Blood staining his apron and his knives sheathed, he whistles a little Puccini as he waits.
