Prelude: A Good Man is Hard to Find

It is the year 3010 of the Third Age in Middle-earth. One after another, ancient horrors awake, called by their master, Sauron, the Lord of the Rings. This is a time when heroes are needed, to protect the Free People and keep the evil at bay. This is high fantasy in a setting where there is low obvious magic using the HARP system.

"Die ye durrned furball!" The dwarf yells as he moves back towards the wolf swinging his hammer again through the air at the already wounded wolf.
I'll parry this time -20 to hit, I'll use the defensive bonus against the healthy wolf if I can though.

Wary of the second wolf, Gorin moves up to finish off his prey.
Gorin 80+64-20+20-70=74
15K
"+16 hits, stunned 3, -25"
With a mighty backhand crush the warrior hits the wolf directly on the "smiling" snout, it is propelled back and hits a tree. This time, the beast does not get up again. It is unconscious or dead.
Gorin 33
Melvan 26
Vardanil 24
Wolves 20
Vardanil 34/67, stunned 5, bleeding 5, -45
Gorin 81/104
Melvan 47/70, bleeding 1, -5
Wolf 1: -111, stunned 6, bleeding 4, -65, unconscious.
Wolf 2: 15, bleeding 2, -5
Melvan, the Breelander, wields his two swords and...

Vardanil watches the dwarf knock the first wolf down and out, "Nice hit master dwarf!" Vardanil reaches into his herbalist bandoleer and draws out some of his potent herbs. He producess a small wad of fern, rolled up tightly into a bundle. He attempts to take the small polstic and smear it into his bleeding wounds. Come on, not like father, not today... He does his best to stop himself from dying here and now.
Using Golden Cress herb from bandoleer. Golden Cress (fern/apply) (heals bleeding by 5, permanent in 1-10 rounds)

I believe this will stop my bleeding. Does this have a -50 to the check to apply it? Cause if so, that makes it real hard probably.

Vardanil applies the herb and his bleeding suddenly stops. In a minute or two, the cut will have closed itself.

Melvan...

does a short sword count to the Thrusting Blades weapon group?
As the wolf bites his left arm, Melvan falls a step back but only to attack the wolf again. This time he uses both swords to attack in a quick swirling turn.
Use -20 to parry, attack with 37

Melvan twirls his blades around and stabs both of them at the wolf.
Melvan attacks
Sword 1 roll 52+37-5-70=14
2 damage
Sword 2 roll 92+37-20(left hand)-5-70=34
4 A "+1 Damage"
Yes, shortswords are thrusting swords.
He slices at the wolf and both blades hit, but he only slices pieces of skin and fur.
Vardanil 34/67, stunned 3, -45
Gorin 81/104
Melvan 46/70, bleeding 1, -5
Wolf 1: -111, bleeding 4, -65, unconscious.
Wolf 2: -24, bleeding 2, -5
The wolf attacks in my next post which I will do a bit later.

The second wolf growls and jumps at Melvan, trying to avenge his fallen comrade.
Wolf attack:
roll 62+70-5-24-20=83
16M
"That wasn't pretty, but it was effective. +15 hits, stunned 4, bleeding 3, -35."
The wolf jumps at Melvan and makes him fall over, tearing bits of flesh out of the unprotected body. Had the Breelander not parried a bit, the wolf might have well torn out his throat. Melvan lies there, severely wounded. The wolf stands there, looking at Gorin, as if wanting to say: "Come here, I'll do the same with you!".
Vardanil 34/67, stunned 3, -45
Gorin 81/104
Melvan 15/70, stunned 4, bleeding 4, -40.
Wolf 1: -111, bleeding 4, -65, unconscious.
Wolf 2: -24, bleeding 2, -5
The dwarf, last one standing,...

"Crap!" the Dwarf mumbles as he sees the second human fall to the ground. Glaring at the last wolf the dwarf grits his teeth back at the beast and growls back at it. "I'll have yer' Hide as a coat..." Rushing forward Gorin Lifts the hammer high above his head arcing it down towards the wolf.
I'll try going with a powerstrike again...

The dwarf warrior holds his hammer up high and charges the lone wolf.
Gorin power attacks
roll 69+64-20-70=53
20 K
"Solid strike bruises muscle and bone. +16 hits, stunned 3 rounds, -25"
He hits the wolf and the cracking of bones can be heard. The wolf is thrown back a bit, and clumsily gets back up, bleaking his teeth.
Gorin 33
Melvan 26
Vardanil 24
Wolves 20
Vardanil 34/67, stunned 3, -45
Gorin 81/104
Melvan 15/70, stunned 4, bleeding 4, -40.
Wolf 1: -111, bleeding 4, -65, unconscious.
Wolf 2: -50, stunned 3, bleeding 2, -30
Melvan, badly hurt,...
A Stunned character cannot attack and does everything with -50. He can parry with half OB.

Melvan tries to bear up against the pain, forcing his pulse to calm down.
"Breath... Breath slowly ... " he tells to himself as he tries to find the second wolf. The sound of cracking bones end his search as he sees the wolf being hit by the hammer of Gorin.

Confident by the power of the dwarf, Melvan tries to stop his bleeding, but still he keeps an eye on the wolf.
Perform healing +8 (I'dont know if I have any medicine/herbs with me?) and if needed parry a attack with OB/2
