What should we start with? Professions? Places? Races? Magic? Anything?
This might help, a HARP conversion for Forgotten Realms:

My plan is, if I can find the time, is to post some of the basic theme here. However the more I look at my old note, the more I realize how really childish this game really was. It was probably 14+ years since we played this, and things have evolved alot in my game making worlds. Plus I realize that maybe you just can't go back to things like this. Changing alot would no longer make it the world and the memorie that it once was. So I'm a bit torn actually.

I'm also very busy right now as well, so this will be really a pretty slow thread. I am thankful for your help Grimbold. So I do hope this will turn into something, but I'll see how things go.

Your link seems broke.

wow, I remember this thing... what was I ... 12? lol, not joking. I do remember a lot about this campaign and recall it frequently.. it was very fun... I think that's the point when V became out perma-DM... having to get someone else to GM was .. Harder when everyone else was yelling out for Cardolin...

Ahh.. Many good memories about muds (messed up black and tans) as well as some Eggboy... I don't want to talk about it... oh yes! and the giant killer moths!

It would be very difficult to bring something like this back around in the same glory. I'd say, give it a go! sounds like your going to have to modify a lot of the world'¦ sounds like we need to have an Old Cardolin and a New Cardolin lol.

Oh.... I am sooooo in on this.

Can I break out Linte and the war-wagon, or will this be all new characters; with the original characters being written into history?

Also since I was really influenced by Lord of the Rings it seems like using a MERPs alternative to a ME Alternative type world makes sense.
If I remember correctly, many of us were on Braveheart binges as well (or still are :) ). Many characters were heavily drawn from the movie, including Palamon's...
