It was curious to see that od, Nate and Deadman (twice) were killed at night by the WW, and not me!

Vardaen, sempai and I discussed killing you instead of od. But since you had led the charge to kill Wayloss once he was found innocent we thought we could subtly work the crowd into killing you during the day.

V - Not to disabuse you of the notion that indeed you are a well liked person - BUT - I believe you also were perceived as a useful pawn in others games.... kept around for the intent of drawing attention from the real fiends!
