Scene 1: Into the Darkness

Throughout history the areas in and around Russia'€™s most infamous city have been wrought with blood. Ivan the Terrible, Stalin, World War, and not to mention the many inter conflicts and civil wars amongst the lower classes. It is not by mere chance that such violence came to be. For you see there is a much darker side which few wish to belief.

Alexsandr nods, responding to Leonid's comment, "It's just as easy to bleed them of steel and oil as well, not through combat, but commerce. Steel and oil helps you line your pockets just as easy as grain or computer chips. But yes, I agree. It is getting to the point where war will be carried out with computers and numbers in bank accounts, not guns and bullets."

Tamara, feeling the call of the day, sets the bottle, and the contents that are still left, aside, and promptly lays down, against the wall. She doesn't bother with saying anything to the other chorus members, as doing so would be a waste of words, unnecessary.
