Prelude: The Message

The Empire lies at the centre of the Old World, bounded by tall mountains and dark forests. It is by far the most populous of the Human nations and claims to be the most powerful. Ruled by the commanding statesmanship of Emperor Karl-Franz, the Empire is a strong bulwark against the foul beasts and blasphemous cults that threaten the stability of the Old World. Gripped by division and confusion, hard times are coming to this powerful country. What has Fate in store for the simple and pious men and women who live at the monastery of St. Adelard?Run by the GM Grimbold

Roswald feints, but the clever creature guesses his trick and counters the feint. Roswald still strikes out at the goblin, but misses. The goblin then strikes back, but the messenger steps back just in time and the blade fails to connect. The two other goblins reload and shoot again, but both miss, one arrow sticking in a tree just above Roswald's head and the other just going by the goblin's pointed ear.
Roswald feint: r77 vs. 35, fail. Goblin: r12 vs 25, success. Feint is unsuccessful.
Roswald attack: r90 cs 35, miss.
Goblin1: attack, parrying stance: r62, miss.
Gob2: reload, attack, r74 vs 35, miss, 20% chance to hit friend: r34, not hit.
Gob3: reload, attack, r62 vs 35, miss. 20% chance to hit friend, r28, not hit.
Not very succcessful for anyone, this round...
Roswald...

Roswald can only grunt irritatedly in his failed attempt at killing the diminutive mongrel, hawking a globule of spittle in their general direction in abject disgust and hate. The sounds of arrows being carefully nocked on their sinewy strings confirms Roswald's assessment of the archer's current disposition, his attention turning fully upon the wounded goblin in front of him once more.
Roswald shall take yet another few stabs at the wounded greenskin (2 standard attacks), then retreat into a parrying stance.

Roswald looks his foe in the eyes, waiting for an opening, and when he sees one, he puts all his force behind a thrust, sinking his shortsword deep into the goblin's chest. With a kick he sends the dead body reeling and is ready for more action!

The two goblins now have better line of sight to the messenger and shoot. One shot goes wild but the other hits Roswald in his left shoulder, jerking him back a step. But he is still standing and ready to act.
You can only do one attack action per round. I will assume an aim action. With the dagger in the second hand, you can get a free parry. Note that ranged attacks cannot be parried.

Roswald: aim/attack: r07 vs. 45. Parry r46 vs 25, not parried. Hit in the body for 12 damage. Dead.

Goblin 2: load/shoot r72 vs 35. Miss
Goblin 3: load/shoot r15 vs 35. Hit in the left arm for 7-4=3 damage.

Health:
Roswald: 6/12
Goblin 1: dead.
Goblin 2: full
Goblin 3: full

Contempetously kicking the spitted greenskin corpse from his view, Roswald turns his attention to the remaining goblin archers, only for another arrow to slam into him, piercing his left shoulder with a sharp sting pervading the messenger's senses.

He tries to block the pain from his mind in interest of focusing on the battle at hand. With not a moment to spare, Roswald immediately knows that he must find cover and fast before attempting to take on his remaining attacker's, sighting the closest cover and making a dash for it.
Roswald shall run to the nearest cover in an attempt to gain ground on the goblin archers

Roswald runs toward the trunk of a mighty fallen tree, surely three feet wide. It is moss covered and lying on the forest ground. He jumps and rolls behind it as one arrow slams into it, just a hand's width under the top. He is lying behind it, thinking about what to do next.
Roswald run, dive for cover.
Goblin 2: reload, shoot
Goblin 3: reload, aim.
The archers are now merely 10m away from Roswald.

The feel of the unyielding length of wood and moss is but a momentary comfort to Roswald in the face of his ranged assailants. His wounds ache, still having not yet removed the offending projectiles from his body for fear of falling prey to rapid blood loss. His breath's come unsteadily to him, his mind racing in ponderance of what action he should undertake next. He could attempt to make a dash from his current position towards the closest of the filthy little bastards... but it would likely end badly, he thought grimly to himself. All the while he was considering his options, he was sure those malicious cretins were attempting to maneuver themselves at better vantage points with which to badger him further with bow fire.

The option of creating some sort of distraction enters the young messenger's mind, but with what, he wonders? No sooner does the question enter his mind than the answer comes to him in the form of his peaked fur cap sliding precariously forward over his eyes. Roswald silently curses himself, knowing that there's no other way, removing his hat with some reverence and quietly praying for his family's forgiveness for what he was about to do next.
Roswald attempt to distract the greenskin's by throwing his cap into the air before breaking from cover and charging the closest greenskin archer

Roswald throws his hat into the air and two arrows fly at it, one missing and one hitting it. That is the moment Roswald has been waiting for and he jumps out and with an ancient battle cry charges the two surprised goblins!

His sword flashes out and stabs deep into the goblin's body, running him through, then pulling out his blade and beheading him in one swift strike.

The other goblin shakes with fear now, but for some reason does not run. He throws down his bow and pulls out a metal axe and his shield, ready to face Roswald!
Throw hat, charge
r07 vs. 45. Hit on the body for 28 damage !!!!! (Ulric's Fury with 10+10+5!) Dead. Dead. Dead.

Goblin: Willpower test: r01, success! Ready axe, ready shield.

As though gripped by the very essence of Sigmar's hatred for the craven greenskins upon witnessing the defilement of his cherished childhood memory, Roswald throws caution to the wind. Blade and knife in hand, the enraged messenger vaults over the fallen tree, letting out a battlecry that seemed utterly unfamiliar, yet oddly galvanizing in its effect to his psyche.

The goblin before him could hardly react to this sudden burst of activity before receiving a barrage of perforations across its emaciated torso from the messenger's knife, not even given the chance to squeal out in utter pain and horror as Roswald's shortsword flashes out from the left, and in one brutal stroke relieving the foul creature's head from its now lifeless carcass in a shower of blood.

The remaining goblin's eyes betray its sheer terror at watching its erstwhile comrade slaughtered so brutally, and yet, strangely, whether out of stupidity, fear of some far more gruesome fate, or perhaps even an extremely rare show of courage, it stands its ground. Contemptously discarding its bow and arrows, its spidery hands reach simultaneously towards the wooden shield strapped on its back and the metal axe strapped at its side, its leering visage showing a willingness to do battle.

Roswald is more than willing to oblige his remaining opponent's wishes, issuing out a grating metallic rasp from the raking of his knife along the edge of his sword as way of challenge.
Roswald will assume a parrying stance(free action because of dual wield), and will allow his enemy to attack first before attempting to aim and make a counter strike (standard attack).

Roswald readies for the Goblin's attack, but the crazed creature's blow goes wide. Then he counterattacks, but his thrust also misses.
Roswald: parrying stance.
Goblin attack: r83, miss.
Roswald: aim/attack: r76 vs 45, miss.

Soon enough blows and thrusts are exchanged between Roswald and the greenskin, yet neither's efforts seem to pay off in the shedding of blood. A murderous arc proscribed by the goblin's axe goes wide, while a measured thrust from the messenger is just barely evaded. Retracting himself from the fray for but a moment, this time measuring his foe up for but a split second before sallying forth once more in mortal combat once more.
Roswald shall aim, attack, then parry
