A Modest Proposal

I was thinking last night about a way to keep roleplaying going despite the fact that we're all pretty much waiting for the colonel to say something.

I say we just hijack the game a bit and declare that an aide to the colonel comes in and asks him to step outside the room for a moment to get an important message. He leaves us alone for a few minutes (i.e., until 3rd-I gets back), and we have time to chat among ourselves without feeling like we're being rude to the colonel by having a conversation while we wait for him to speak.

What do people think?

I think 3rd-I wouldn't grumble about it.
So I say "Nice idea. Let's do it.". But do we really have enough time for a conversation?

He's gone all week, isn't he?

Yes, and it's already Tuesday.
So if we deduct the weekend we'd have only three more days to converse.

I think that's probably okay.

Ok, I see you didnt actually get round to implementing this, so hang fire and I'll have a new post up today or tomorrow.

Yea, we just ended up talking a little bit. Nothing seemed so terribly rude that we wouldn't have done it with the colonel right there. I was mostly just talk of opium.
