Re: Into the Atrium - Round 4
Daerith glances at Fin as he doesn't target the Rust Monster, "We must kill the rust monster first, if it gets ahold of Berek's Mithril Armor.... " he lets that sentiment sink in, mithril amor is incredibly strong, and incredibly expensive to replace. So he weaves his free hand in a figure eight pattern and flames race up and down Torothalion building stronger and other as he chants, "Igneus manebus inflatus." The blade totally engulfed in flame Daerith flicks the weapon forward, throwing all the oily flames off the blade at Chunkus the Rust Monster, "BURN!" The flames race toward Chunkus. Daerith then draws a second blade in his off hand, flips it over so he's now holding the blade, with the basket hilt pointing toward Berek, the slender rapier was once Chanur's. "Berek! Here take this, its Chanur's old magical rapier!

Fin frowns at Daerith, "This isn't my first outing Elf. The monk has the creature under control."

Into the Atrium - Round 5
Now that Fin has stepped in the way of the large bullywug, Daerith turns his attention to the rust monster, now innocently devouring Berek's axe in the northern corner of the atrium. The elven magus raises Torothalion and speaks the words that cause it to burst into flames. A moment later, those same flames burst forth from the sword, burning the rust monster, singing the wall, and engulfing the gauzy, ornamental curtains. The rust monster turns its head up from its meal with a look of surprise and hurt before the burning and battering becomes too much and it drops to the floor unconscious.
Berek, weaponless but in no current danger of losing his armor, acts. Daerith holds out a rapier - about as undwarven a weapon as you can get - for him to use, if he wishes.

"Arrgh." Berek is still too stunned as he watches Berta devoured by the rust monster. A creature he will hate for the rest of his life with all his heart. Daerith hands him the pointy stick and the flabergasted Dwarf grabs it with a look of disgust. "Blasted what shall I do wit a pointy stick." He takes the weapon then moves to take revenge for bertas demise. "Die ye piece of scum" the Dwarf mutters as he begins to mercilessly transform the creatures brain into mush with the hard soles of his boot.

Re: Into the Atrium - Round 5
Bereft by the loss of Berta, and stuck with a pointy stick of an elf-weapon, Berek is not a happy dwarf. But he knows what must be done; and he knows he's the one who has to do it. The rust monster, unconscious on the north side of the atrium cannot be allowed to live. And so, ignoring the large bullywug, the former thief strides purposefully over to the aberration, slumped over on the floor over top of the remains of Berek's axe, and holds the rapier above the, making certain to avoid the antennae, which seem to contain the worst of its corrupting power. The end will come now, he knows, and Berta will be avenged.
The remaining bullywug, the tribes chieftain as it turns out, angered at how you've interfered with its plans, enraged at the members if its tribe you've killed, and upset that you're about to kill its pet, strikes out with a vengeance. Stepping out of the pebbly ground, it bellows a wordless cry and once more swings its huge greatclub, this time at Fin. And this time the swing connects. It hits Fin in the side, bruising a few ribs, if not cracking them, and knocks him into the wall. This one bullywug is not going down easily.
Sindu, seeing that Berek has the rust monster in hand, has the opportunity to help the others with the last remaining bullywug.

Seeing Berek about to finish the rust monster, Sindu changes his target to the remaining bullywug. Avoiding the unstable ground, he moves past the distraught dwarf. He approaches the seemingly upset frog, swinging his fist to send him to join his friends in death.

Re: Into the Atrium - Round 5
Seeing that Berek is ready to finish off the rust monster, Sindu breezes past the two of them and aims a quick rabbit punch at the angry bullywug, finally giving it the attention it wants. But the Bullywug proves remarkably quick for its size and dodges out of the way of the blow.
Fin, still reeling from the bullywug's attack, steps back and calls upon Procan to heal himself and his friends. That increasingly familiar rush of sea-blue energy rushes over everyone, removing all trace of injury from Daerith and Sindu, and going a long way toward healing Fin and Berek.
Daerith, minus a rapier, acts next.

Daerith glances at Berek a moment, he doesn't say anything to Berek, for the moment as the healing power of Procan washes over him once more. Praise Procan he thinks to himself.
Then he turns his focus on the last of the Bullwugs, "We are the Sea Wyverns, we have slain your companions, your Rust Monster is defeated, and the others flee. This fight is over, but you'll see no mercy from us, not today you over grown fish bait!" As he moves through his two friends, he swiches to the arcane tongue in which he casts his spells. "Gelu of sepulchrum adveho per meus mucro!" His words finish and Torothalion's cherry glow switches into a frosty blue-white, that color, mixed with the red eventually settles on a soft purpleish light. Leaping forward as his chants, Torothalion takes a swing at the last Bullwug, its frozen touch reaching out from the grave to call Lorpht to it.

Into the Atrium - Round 6
Daerith moves in, hoping to finish things before too much time has passed. After all, the fate of Lavinia Vanderboren, his employer and perhaps a bit more, is still unknown. He raises Torothalion, safe now from being eaten by the rust monster, and infuses it with the cold of the grave before swinging it at the bullywug chieftain. But this is no simply bullywug. He's the biggest and the strongest; and the skill that got him to the top of this bullywug clan allows him to dodge Daerith's swing.
Berek, standing over the rust monster and the remains of Berta plunges the rapier down without any hesitation. He carefully avoids the dangerous antennae, and expertly punctures the creatures lung, ending its aberrant existence at last.
Meanwhile, on the south side of the battle, the bullywug chieftain once more swings his massive greatclub at Daerith ... and once more fails to hit the agile elf. Instead the blow smashes into the wall, cracking the wooden paneling and sending small splinters flying.
With only one remaining enemy, all of the Sea Wyverns will act before the bullywug gets another swing.
Edited to correct Daerith's attack - still a miss, I'm afraid.

Tumbling past the frog creature, Sindu comes up behind it sending a strike to the back.
