Character Name: Torrak Runefist
Player Name: Eanwulf
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class: Monk
Age: 75
Height: 4 ft. 8 in.
Weight: 175 lbs.
Hair: Completely Bald, though Natural color is a dark reddish-brown
Eyes: Right one Gray, Left one Blue
Torrak, eldest son of Bratok the Runefisted and twin brother to Torias, is better known by most as simply Torrak. The young warrior-scholar was born deep within the rocky crags of Kral-Valror and, much like his father and his father's father before him, was ordained to become guardian to the temples of the Kulani Yur; a religious sect dedicated to the preservation of dwarven tradition and history under the tutelage of a collective order of priests dedicated to the worship of the dwarves' founder, Kilmorph; better known amongst his people as the Crafter.

There, amidst his brethren, Torrak has spent the past 50 years or so serving diligently (as any first son would) as protector of the sacred tomes and halls of his forefathers, his heart secretly yearning for something more than the tasks appointed him. Having spent his days dreaming off a more bold and adventurous life (after all who wouldn't want to be one of the elite warriors of the Barring Morr of Kral-Eldak) Torrak has completed any duties presented before him with diligent care and has even managed to spend what time he can with his little brother, Torias.

The rugged warrior has grown concerned for his little brother as of recent, as he has noticed that the young priest has become somewhat self-absorbed in researching tomes and categorizing historical references, rather than hone his fighting skills. Nevertheless, Torrak still supports his brother's endeavors and merely does what he can to make sure that the little guy can still swing an axe if need be.

The fall of Bhall marked a pivotal point in the Realm's history and the chaos that ensued has all but driven his people to the point of civil war. Numerous debates as to what course of action should be taken has divided the ruling castes tremendously and there is even rumor of several bloody coups in the works during the ongoing turmoil. Nonetheless, Torrak and his brother has remained true to their cause and has spent each and every day making sure that their order's needs are met with the utmost of fervency and respect.

It is no surprise then, that when the first of Mulcarn's most relentless and unforgiving snowstorms had began to fall that the two brothers chose to aid their kinsman further. Having researched several tomes and consulted with his elders, Torrak's little brother, Torias, uncovered a most interesting find. It would appear that during the fall of the goddess Bhall, a portion of her essence, pure and unspoiled, shattered and broke free into several fragments. These shards and pieces, known collectively as the Heart of Bhall are rumored to hold innumerous powers and abilities that could be better used by the dwarven peoples. Utilizing several of Kilmorph's designs, Torias quickly informed his elders of his findings and was eventually instructed to travel to Braduk in order to try and retrieve one.

Finally finding his means to live a more adventurous life, Torrak immediately volunteered to accompany his brother to aid him in the endeavor. After all, his little brother needed looking after...
I figured that (for game's sake) fragments of Bhall's surrounding Immolation could have very well shattered and broken free from her form during her fall and vanquish. Untainted and free of corruption (at least we hope so) these "Shards of the Goddess" would collectively be refered to as the "Heart of Bhall" and could be used to fuel magical heating devices if so acquired. Those fragments deemed corrupted (GM's discretion) could prove likewise useful at first, later burning wildly and out of control as time (and corruption) went on. Hopefully this meets with your liking and approval and should at least give the two of us purpose for traveling to Braduk and in turn meeting the other players.

Character Name: Torias Runefist
Player Name: Grimbold
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class: Cleric of Kilmorph
Age: 75
Height: 4 ft. 8 in.
Weight: 175 lbs.
Hair: Completely bald, though natural color is a dark reddish-brown
Eyes: Right one blue, left one grey.
Torias was born 75 years ago in the Kral-Valror. He was quickly put into the order of the Kilani Yur for education and prospered there. He has always shown a great interest in runes, ancient languages and lore. His focused mind and his attention to detail fit right into this order, even if his mediocre charisma prevented him from going up ranks. After his education he was ordained a priest of the order of Kilmorph and assigned to his duty in the library. He has been overseeing and organising the section on ancient history. Though he meets his twin brother once in a while and (though they are somewhat different) gets along with him well, he does not care too much for contact with those living in the present, preferring to spend his time reading and studying. Torrak is a bit worried as Torias has become very bookwormish and scholarly and the cleric seems to live much more in the past than in the present. Nevertheless, he has a keen mind and is a good observer.

He might feel a bit ill at ease outside of his library. Torias has actually written a scholarly book of his own, though probably no one else has ever read it: "An analysis of the use of the syllable <grah> in runic writings during the Goldbrand Dynasty in the early Age of Magic".
Torias sometimes wears glasses so he can better read his books. This is how the twins can be told apart, though as a cleric and dwarf, he will often also wear metal armor.

Recently, he fell upon the diary of a human scholar that the dwarfs somehow got their hands on. It described the fall of Bhall and what it looked like in detail. Torias became interested and cross-referenced the account with more ancient tomes of history and theology, as well as the lore of magic. Spending hours and hours in the library, reading these old books and fragments aided only by his brother at times, he managed to put together piece after piece of a puzzle, indicating that the heart of the Godess was separated and - probably - untainted and might be found und used as a weapon against the growing cold. Together with his brother, he reported the findings to their elders and were trusted with the errand of travelling there and recovering the Heart of Bhall.

Torias is vaguely unhappy about the prospect of leaving his beloved library but he sees the need and is also eager to learn more of the world.
Torias is completely bald, having shaved off his beard and head as all of his order do. His scalp is covered in black and dark-green tattoos of dwarf runes and other arcane symbols. A circle of text in black ink goes around his eyes which are blue and grey. He wears steel-brimmed glasses when he is reading. He sometimes neglects his shaving and a shadow of a beard is starting to appear.
His elders have equipped him with scalemail armor and a shield, which he knows how to use but probably has not for at least a decade. Each scale has a dwarven rune imprinted on it, giving the appearance as if he was clad in money. He also possesses a good dwarven waraxe, made of a metal that shines a bit yellowish. Runes also cover his weapon. His secondary weapon is a smaller battle axe that he keeps in his belt. He has a backpack with other equipment on him as well as his books.

Name: Allareia-Nosaki-na'Tirris Arrasul-Elassyrin-el'Tirion: Relcutant Follower of Dreams of the Dancers in the Glade Clan ("Dreams" for short)
Race: Elf (Elohim)
Class: Paladin
Age: 126 years
Height: 6 feet
Weight: 108 lbs.
Hair: White

Bio History: Reluctant Follower of Dreams--then known as Daydreaming Scholar--wanted only to be a scholar, to devote herself to the study of history, religion, the planes, and the like. She moved to the Elohim settlement of Quorris-na'Tiraglass-Nastul (Haven of the Nine Water Falls), renowned for its great library. There she met another young elf who shared her passion for learning and they, with the approval of their clans, became betrothed. Dreams, however, kept on having vivid dreams that disturbed her sleep. When she spoke with the clerics and wizards trained in dream lore about it, they told that though the gods respected her love of learning, in these cruel times, they were calling her to put that aside and become a holy warrior. Dreams refused to heed this advice, burying herself more deeply in her studies and her relationship with her betrothed. That is, until an army of Frostlings broke through the Haven of the Nine Water Falls' defenses, and, among other atrocities, burned the great library to the ground and slew Dreams' betrothed. Grief-stricken by both losses, Reluctant Follower of Dreams adopted her current name and took her place in the Holy Order of the Watchful Sword, becoming the holy warrior her dreams called her to be. She has taken a vow to preserve the learning of the Elohim and the rest of their culture against those who destroy it. Still, part of her would very much like nothing so much as to go back to being a scholar, instead of a paladin.

Pretend the chain mail shirt is studded leather armor. Hero Machine (which I used to make this) doesn't have studded leather armor as an option, unfortunately. The black clothes indicate she's in mourning. The sash indicates she's a member of the Holy Order of the Watchful Sword.

Name:Syrronas the Burned
Race:Elf (Theonite)
Class:Sorcerer
Age:126
Height:6'3"
Weight:133
Hair:Flame Red
Eyes: Black, no visible Irisis

Bio History:Syrronas was the son of a diplomat, entirely normal childhood. He displayed a gift for taking with people and was foreseen to become a diplomat like his father. But no one foresaw the fall of a god and the rupture into hell. Syrronas was struck in the chest with flaming debris of the god's fall. He was nearly killed on the spot, he was treated by healers but continued to die slowly despite the best healers of the Thelonite nation. In desperation his parents took him to the Elohim, he could be healed, but the price of saving his life was for him to remain with the Elohim, they feared the taint that made it hard to heal.
Things changed for Syrronas, he developed raw magical talent, his hair became Fire red, pigment of his skin began to turn more red and his irises disappeared granting him a frightful look.

A little more feminine then I want, and the blue eyes..meh didn't feel like photo-shoping it.
Syrronas died to a series of traps in the Ice Maze during Namdrin's Carnival when it came to town and the Dark Fey took over.

Name: Vren
Race: Human (Braduk)
Class: Rogue
Age: 17
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 110
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown

Bio History: Vren was born in the ruins that once were the city of Braduk, more than thirty year after the Fall of the Fire Goddess.
She grew up among a small group of maybe 5 or 6 families. They had found a relatively safe location, an old castle with some storage caves, and occupied it for some years. Because of that, the group managed to get along fairly well and even raise some children, although life still was hard enough. But a few years ago, disaster struck and they were driven out of that safe haven. After that, their luck failed them and their numbers dwindled, due to attacks by demons and orcs, accidents, bloody rivalries with other survivors for the scarce resources and, ultimately, a slave raid, leaving only some of the children behind.
The constant struggle for survival didn't leave Vren with much of a choice of what to do with her life. Despite her young age, she has learned to to avoid countless dangers of the ruined wasteland, to fight them when running away was not an option, to rely on cunning instead of strength, and never to let her guard down - not because she wanted to, but out of sheer necessity.

Celevan ("Blue Eyes")

Post by Trogdor » Tue Dec 22, 2009 3:55 am

Name: Hinya Amartho Luinë Celevan Hendu ("Child of Fate with Eyes of Blue Crystal") (Blue Eyes, Celevan, or Evan, for short)
Race: Aasimar (Elven)
Class: Summoner
Age: 115
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 125
Hair: Black
Eyes: Solid Blue Topaz

Bio History: Blue Eyes, Celevan in the Elohim language, was a druid initiate at Graceful Oak Haven, where he had been for many years. One day he received a vision during his daily meditation that called him away from his druidical studies. With the vision came a transformation, changing his eyes to their new form. The master druids had examined him thoroughly and determined that the change was a late manifestation of a celestial heritage. Such occurrences were rare, but not unheard of. Those skilled in such matters referred to what he had become as an aasimar - a person blessed with celestial blood. The transformation combined with the vision were taken as a sign. Child of Fate with Eyes of Blue Crystal, as he was now known, was released from his druidical studies and allowed to follow his destiny. Soon thereafter, he left the Graceful Oak Haven and has only recently returned.

Celevan is rarely encountered without his eidolon (wolf) (panther) (lizard) (white tiger) dragonfly Suletor, or "Suli" for short.

Re: Braedon Kovich

Post by Eilandor » Sat Apr 11, 2015 10:59 pm

Name: Braedon Kovich
Race: Human (Braduk)
Class: Ranger
Age: 19
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 208
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown

Bio History:

Braedon is the bastard son of Quinn Medici of Peptin. After a brief affair with a local scholar named Serana Kovich, Quinn learns that she is with child. Within the same week, his wife Mara informs Quinn that she is expecting. Quinn is stricken with guilt and reveals to Mara his affair with Serana. Heartbroken, and some time later, they agree the bastard child should be raised in the Medici household as not to tarnish their name. As if by some cruel jest from the gods, Braedon is born the same day as Elsbeth. Reluctantly, Serana gives Braedon to the Medici family where he is raised as a fraternal twin to Elsbeth. Serana is granted secret visitation rights and in later years serves as a tutor for young Braedon. At fourteen years of age, Serana reveals the truth to Braedon. Unforgiving of his father, he leaves the Medici household to stay with Serana where he eventually decides to take on her last name. Serana weds Arryn Llewain, a land scout for a lumber consortium who Braedon takes a liking to. Over the next five years, Braedon hones his skills under the tutelage of Arryn, often accompanying him on his scouting assignments.

Braedon did not abandon the Medici's on the whole. The bond with his half-sister was strong. Elsbeth mentions a dream where she was visited by the God Junil, and in turn will embark on a journey to grant mercy to those who would otherwise succumb to The Pit. Now 19 years of age, Braedon does not hesitate to help her in this task. After months of helping the refugees, Elsbeth goes missing one night. Braedon sends a message back to Peptin, informing the family and that he will stop at nothing to find her.

Several months have passed and small clues have lead Braedon east and eventually north to Olfden. Inquiring around, he finds Elsbeth had passed through to the north, and was not alone. Pushing north, Braedon comes to the small town of Falcon's Hollow. He remembers Arryn Llewain talking of the Darkmoon Wood just north of town, and now it seems he may have a chance to see it for himself.
