Hey folks I'll be joining the game in the hopes that I can increase activity. My char will be a Rogue (Knifemaster) who tends to roam the wilderness around Falcon's hollow and hunt anything he can collect a bounty on. Looking forward to gaming with all of you!

Um, I thought you said that Knifemaster causes you to lose Trapfinding. Wasn't that why you were going for the trapper?

We really need the replacement character we bring in to have Trapfinding. None of us have that. And the ability to disarm magical traps becomes increasingly important as we rise in level.

V said it's no big deal. And I can still get trap finding via other means...

Just curious, how else? Gonna dip into a level of trapper just to get trapfinding?

It will certainly come into play not being able to disarm magical traps. You guys will have to find other ways around them.

Yeah dipping would be a possibility. However I'm not keen on it. But between summoning, and dispel magic there should be away around most traps...

I'm not certain that will always be an option. My summoning is a mainstay of combat for me. I can't necessarily afford to toss away summoned creatures to set of traps. And with the loss of Syrronas (soon), our ability to cast Dispel Magic will be quite limited. I wouldn't count on either of those options being standard responses to magical traps.

That's why we advertised for a character with Trapfinding.

I guess it comes down to how often do we think magical traps will come up? If it's once a day thing sacrificing a summons shouldn't be a big deal if it's constantly then it could become pesky. Also Cleric's can also Dispel Magic...

True, but if we're bringing in a new character, it's just as easy to bring in one with Trapfinding (which is not a limited resource). Again, that's why we said we preferred someone with Trapfinding.
