C6 Introduction - Manh Toisao

As Manh steps forward, his lightsaber flashes again, illuminating the smoky environs of the cantina. The Devaronian growls as his attacking arm is severed from his body. He crumbles to the ground in pain, in capacitated.

For the time being, Manh is out of combat.

"What exactly was the plan again? I might have had a slight concussion from that blast!! .." He pauses. "But whatever it is.. it needs to be speedy. I"m sure Bulba is watching this whole things and more reinforcements will be on the way shortly."

Manh takes a breath as the Devaronian falls. Replying back to Wile, he says, "Current threats neutralized. Ready for step 2. Is the lift off-line? Is there an alternative way back to our exit?" He asks as he moves to the north and towards the what appears to be captives.

The plan was to stealthily free the slaves and escape via the air vent that leads to the roof. However, the recent explosion and the announcement of their arrival by tripping the alarm appears to have thrown a monkey wrench into their plans.

Manh tries to never make plans since all plans seem to always require changes in direction in the middle of the plan. He's not surprised that their simple strategy might be falling apart. In fact, he's a bit excited at the prospect of the thrill of the escape now more than before.

use swift to finish improving condition? I can use swift actions outside of combat right?

It wasn't stated in the game (I don't recall), but I think the slaves are on the map in the north room. That's where Manh is heading

Manh hastily makes his way north, past the reflectiion pool and into a room containing more sand people... in cages. They grunt and squawk at him as he enters. He can also see a security door and, behind it, hears voices calling out: "Help! Help! We're in hear!" It seems the artists are finally located. They must have heard the blaster fire.

Wile comes over the com. "It looks like there is a ventilation shaft going straight up from here to the roof. If the hostages are light enough, hopefully we can all get out of here using our ascension guns. I'll rendezvous with you shortly."

Manh returns a quick acknowledgment to Wile stating, "Okay, I'll be there shortly."

The former Jedi padawan races over to the cages with the humans, passing the Sand People for now. "Stand back from the locks," he says as he begins an attempt to cut through the lock and bars with his lightsaber.

As he cuts, he asks, "What are they," he nods his head at the caged sand people, "in here for? The others outside attacked me."

use lightsaber to cut through bars or lock, or whatever is weakest to allow the cage to open

"Who knows!!!" scream the voices from inside. "Just get us out of here.. before Bulba figure out what is going on!"

The Sand People seem somewhat stunned by their freedom. They don't speak to Manh, but instead stare at him for a few seconds before bolting out of the room and down the hallway towards the elevator... little to they know that it's 'non operational.'

At about that time, Wile shows up. "Long time no see, boss," he says. "We need to find an easier way to make money."

Manh raises an eyebrow at the comment. "Are we getting paid for this?" He jokes with Wile, and turns off his lightsaber.

Looking over to the freed artists, he says, "Follow us, we have a ship nearby."

The man then heads to the door and peeks out to see if any more guards are arriving. If the coast is clear, he gives Wile the signal that it's time to make their exit.

When Wile said the ventilation shaft from "here", did he mean there where he was at? back in control room? or here in the slave area?

Where Manh is. It really doesn't matter.. We'll be RPing at a pretty quick pace from here on out!

Wile turns the corner and looks at Manh and the two freed slaves. "Looks like our party has doubled in size," he says. "And where are you going?" He looks straight up. There is a grating and blackness beyond that. Landoo fires his rifle and makes quick work of the grating. He slings his rifle over his shoulder and looks at the two freed slaves. Both of them are relatively slight of build. He grabs one by the waist and begins to prepare his ascension gun to fire upwards...

"Just checking to make sure the coast is clear. Don't want to get shot in the back while we make our exit." Manh replies as he turns and heads over and takes the other artist in his arms.

"Okay, go, we'll be right behind you." He says taking his ascension gun out and reading the weapon.

[Bo]

As Wile and Manh grab the hostages and clasp them tightly, they fire their ascenscion guns into the vent Thunk!! The achors strike home and soon the adventurous duo is rocketing upwards. Now a moment to soon, either: Behind them they hear the clanking of guard droids and blaster bolts being fired!

Within moments the four of them are on the roof of the palace.
"Thanks!" says one of the artists, rubbing her eyes. "We're free! .. but.. uh.. how are we going to get out of here?"

Landoo looks down, scouring the speeders in the lot below the palace. "Shall we?" he smiles.

Manh looks down at the speeders that Wile is looking at. He nods as he smiles and replies, "Great. Let's get out of here and off this planet."

The former Jedi indicates to the artists, "There. We'll take the speeders." He glances around to see if there's any guards or sentries posted at the palace gates or if they'll be pursued by other speeders.
