Prologue: A Day at the Univeristy

It is a typical afternoon at the University and you are working on your thesises.

Rat'atak is in the laboratory studying a spread of cell samples from different mage-bred animals.

Seibo is lecturing to a lab full of blissfully sleeping students about the History of the Lizardmen Tribes.

In a quiet lab, a warrior physicist is discussing whether or not magic exists as another form of energy on a co-terminal plane.

Adovan is in the observatory setting up an instrument to magically capture an image one of the 13 moons of Eberron.

You all see a bespacticled chinless student, with a beard that makes his face look like he has partially eaten a hedgehog, waving at you from the doorway of your respective rooms.

Adovan looks up momentarily to nod in greeting to the waving figure, then returns to his work. After finishing the calibrations, he then turns his attention to the man. "Hello, sir. Sorry about making you wait. How may I help you?"

Seibo continues his dreadfully boring lecture about the migration paths of the various Lizardmen Tribes at a particular point in history. Blissfully unaware of the chinless hedgehog waving from the doorway, he continues on in his rather sonorous droning chant.

The Goblin rises from his notes and takes off hi glases

after scratching his head Rat'atak rises and slurps to the door to bid in the student. AIn a high pitched but friendly voice flavored with a heavy Dhakaani accent the Goblin Scholar enquires: "What can I do for you lad?"

Rat'atak and Adovan turn to adress the four eyed figure in the doorway. He is blinking with sleepiness and both Rat'atak and Adovan see the image flicker a moment. "Gah!", it says,"So hard to concentrate with that gnome talking. Mayby using Mirror Image wasn't the best idea. Oh! I am Radavan Ticklegluber." The wavering and increasingly sleepy figure bows in an uncoordinated fashion and then turns to something only it can see and yells, "SEIBO!"

The warrior physicist would see the figure in the doorway seeming to talk to itself.

Marddon is going over a blueprint with a student in the architectural lab. A figure in the doorway with glasses, no chin and a beard that looks like he has half eaten a hedgehog seems to be talking to....no one?

Maddon sighs, wondering if this is yet another "dragon prophet". He dismisses the dwarven student and climbs down from his bench, straightens his thickening figure and approaches the figure.
"Are you looking for the religious studies department?" Hoping for and fearing an affirmative answer.

Adovan smiles to himself as he sees the figure talking to someone else through the Mirror Image. "I am at your service, sir. How may the astronomy department help you?" He sets the machine to capture the images automatically, then moves to assist the strange looking man.

Gizzik enjoys the peculiar spectactle. He always gets a kick out of magic users especially when their attempts at shaping reality merely shape their own.

Radavan looks panicked for a moment when confronted with three people simultaneously. He pushes up his glasses and pulls himself togeather. "I would like to tell you all that Professor Emeritus Spaulding Grey, " Radavan lets out a huge yawn at this point and yells, "Seibo!", he then continues on with the words, "Professor Emeritus Spaulding Grey wishes you to gather your materials and to meet him at your convienience. I believe the good Professor is seeking graduate assistants and he would like to interview you."

Professor Spaulding Grey is one of the most decorated professors of the University of Mograve. He is the author of over 40 books discussing the linking of the planes with the position, phases and interacting magical fields of the moons and thier planes. You reconize this man's name immediatly and the fact that this position would be PRESTIGEOUS considering the Professsor Grey has refused to take graduate assistants in the last 20 years.
