Prelude: Long Days, Long Nights

Over thirty years ago humans found a cache of ancient Prothean technology on the planet Mars. Studying and adapting this technology, humankind has managed to break free of the solar system and has established numerous colonies and encountered various extraterrestrial species within the Milky Way galaxy. Utilizing alien artifacts known as Mass Relays, the various space-faring races are able to travel instantly across vast stretches of the galaxy. Within the game, humanity has formed the Human Systems Alliance, one of many independent bodies that make up the collective of "Citadel space".Run by DM Tet'Nak

"We should look for the exit of the docking station. It's better to wait there than between all the other ships," Kinney says, slaps the rifle in the slot at the back of her armor and looks for the exit, scanning the passerbys. "Who're we looking for? A human and a Quarian?"

David exits the vehicle and looks around, he calls back up into the ship. "I can see the concourse from here," he says, "Nothing looks out of the ordinary ..."

"Great," says Alexus. "Let's go." He walks with the others towards the concourse, his steps ringing loud on the spaceport floor.

"Right," Kinney says, following the Turian's lead. "Hey David, can you contact our fellow officer? Because I don't have his code or anything, so I guess you may be able to reach him."

"Oh, right," David says, looking down at his Omni-tool.

He types in a message as they all exit the ship.

When they stand clear of the Juggernaut, Kinney glances around, checking the surrounding people and their ships and looking for the exit. "Captain Tai, you should take the lead, since you're not only the pilot but also a senior officer," she says to the Turian.

David types in, "Confirmed."

"They want us to meet them at the concourse." The engineer points out of the space port and looks at the others.

"Let's not keep them waiting for too long," Kinney says, stepping forward despite what she said only seconds earlier. They're going to meet a human officer, anyway and they're probably identified faster if a human is the first one they recognize. Although a group of a Turian and two Humans does look very unusual.

Alexus Tai nods, heading towards the concourse with the others. "Of course." As they walk, he chats. "You humans... are not very patient, are you? Perhaps it is something that you will .. erm.. evolve into? I think space travel brings with it a change in perspective. Something timeless."

As the group nears the meeting spot, Alexus begins to search the crowd for faces that might be their contact.

"We are?" Kinney asks, raising and eyebrow. "I remember a certain incident that followed the activation of Relay 314. As far as I remember it, the Hierarchy didn't show a lot of patience either. But that's not something we should discuss."

She waves her hand, to banish this particular topic.
