So you're ahead of us by six hours. That means that the sun would vanish six hours earlier for you, right?

I always thought it would be based on the Time Zone where the Mayan Empire was at. So I think that would be Central or Mountain Time Zone for American, but wait time zones weren't invented back then...

Re: Permanant Vacation
Is this the last day on the Calendar? So things end at midnight Mayan Standard Time right?
If nothing happen this is the 3rd less than impressive apocalypse I've lived through. Y2K, Rapture (v1 and v2) and now the Mayan End. Someone invent zombies already!

Re: Permanant Vacation
Well, as I think I've posted here before, the US Center for Disease Control does actually have a zombie apocalypse preparedness webpage ...
The irony of this whole thing is that the Mayans never actually even prophesied an apocalypse--this was just the equivalent of December 31 in their couple thousand year-long "long count" calendar. Reading some of the stuff debunking the supposed apocalypse is actually pretty interesting--the Mayans were remarkable astronomers and time-keepers.

Maybe they continued on the other side and no one cared to look.
