Re: Underground Revolution
Fellan swings down hard with his deadly morningstar. "Crack", before the Hellknight can get his hands under himself to rise, the heavy ball cracks against his skull. He falls back into the muck to get washed down the river with the rest of the trash.
Sliding to the side, Kyle attacks the Hellknight hoping Janivens hard hit distracted it enough to get in a shot. He does just that. The curve of his sickle goes deep, ripping armor, flesh and organs. The Hellknight doubles over, collapsing to the floor in a pool of blood.
With the battle over, you collect your thoughts, ensuring there are no remaining Hellknight hiding in wait. As your adrenaline subsides you begin to realize these are no ordinary Hellknights. Their dress, while being very similar to Hellknights, is not quite right. On further inspection you notice the armor is made up of hardened leather designed to resemble the Hellknight's metal armor. "These must be Armigers." Janiven says referring to the trainee Hellknights sometimes sent out on minor missions. "They must be using us to test their lackeys."

Re: Underground Revolution
Kyle wipes his sickle clean on the Deathknights - or rather Armiger - at his feet. Then, taking his dagger out with his free hand, he moves to each of the downed foes, giving those that are only dying a merciful death blow. He speaks a low prayer to Pharasma over each, praying that she receive their souls and judge them accordingly.
"I'm ready," he says after the third prayer. "Which way do we go now?" Then he glances at the bodies. "We should probably push them all into the sewer water," he adds. "Any confusion or delay we can cause would be helpful."

Re: Underground Revolution
Viraj studies his opponent carefully. He had been somewhat surprised that the dreaded Hellknights would fall so easily but Janiven's explanation sounds perfectly reasonable. He then helps however he can to hide the corpses so that they can move on quickly.

Re: Underground Revolution
Fellen spits on one of the hellknight trainees, "They send only their neophytes after us. I take that as an insult, but it works to our advantage. These peon are going to be easier to handle than the real things." He kneels and searches the corpse of the man for anything of value: coins, marching orders, potions, anything easily looted, and then kicks the body into the stream of waste to be washed down the tunnel.

Re: Underground Revolution
Fellan searches the Armigers remaining, the other being washed away by the current. He finds nothing of real value, but he does find their longswords, each carries a light crossbow and a few bolts in quivers. There is also a small vial on each remaining Armiger labled "Healing". You all gather up the desired items and after further urging from Janiven begin to search for the way out. The southern tunnel is eventually discovered to hold the markings. Using the boards to cross the filth, you continue to the south before more Hellknights discover you.
You continue down the dank dark passages, twisting and turning and turning some more. You come to an opening that opens into a larger room. The sludge in this room flows under stone bridges, more tunnels that flow under the stonework, in various places in the room to allow continuous flow. As your torchlight expands in the widening room, you begin to notice squat humanoid creatures that are too small to resemble dwarves. They have oblong shaped heads that seem to be too large for their thin, lanky bodies. At the same time your light makes them evident, one looks your way and screams in a high pitched voice "INTRUDERS!!! KILL, KILL, KILL!!!!" With that said, they move in to attack!

Re: Underground Revolution
"Goblins!" The former inquisitor rushes into the room letting his light wash over the rest of the hidden chamber. "Don't let them flank us!" He can't see far into the room or see how many of them there might be so he steps forward a few feet and holds his morningstar into the air. "Run! Run you filthy maggot eaters! I am Fellan, Inquisitor of the Hellknights, and your pathetic lives are over now, lest you run from my demonic light!" He spins his weapon about to cause the light to flips and flicker casting shadows about his snarling face.

Re: Underground Revolution
Fellan, realizing what you face, reaches out with insults and threats to the diminutive beings. Janiven, with bow drawn, moves into position to obtain a good firing range while Emere sets up for the same. Almost in unison the twang of bowstrings can be heard. *Thwack* Janiven's arrow strikes solid into the body of one, while Emere's goes wide. The majority of the goblins seem confused, almost scared, of the "Big people" but they fight on. Kyle then decides to...

Now that the enemy was partly demoralized, Kyle moves in to clear the way. His sickle raised, he rushes the nearest goblin and tries to send him to visit his mistress.

Viraj steps forward and swiftly fires a pair of Shuriken through the darkness which is pierced fully by his racial abililty to perceive the heat of the Goblins bodies.

Re: Underground Revolution
Seeing the others going in, and the call of "goblins", Kyle rushes forth. He eyes the closest creature and goes to intercept. His sickle swath nicks the light armor, barely missing a deeper gash. Viraj unable to get into position that he desired across the river of muck, elects to step up to attack. He fires off what appears to be becoming his preferred weapon. The two sharpened discs fly, missing their target to fly off into the darkness beyond.
The Goblins, each armed with 2 primitive, but capable small swords, begin to move in their haphazardly, but unnervingly dexterous, way. One moves in to flank Kyle while the other moves sideways to place Kyle between his compatriot. They swing wildly but effectively, both simultaneously slash at Kyle one hitting with one of his swords. The other moves in to attack Janiven directly, seeing his now fleeing companion injured, racing into the shadows. He swings and Janiven deftly dodges out of the way of one swing but moves into the swing of the other sword. She drops her bow and starts grabbing for her sword.
