We'll start going in rounds at this point because we have to see if Valya gets noticed before she makes it past the checkpoint!
Keyes 29, Troopers 27, Valya 21, Tarak 15
Keyes stands on the side of the road, straining his eyes and inspectnig the 'civilians' as they walk by. He uses all of his trained senses, and his gut, to try to pick out anyone suspcious or who doesn't fit in with the rest of the innocent alien. Far to the back of the line, the soldier spots a cloaked character with red skin. Judging from the distance the others are keeping from her, he senses that this individual is likely the one they are searching for!

Keyes....
Combinatin of a great perception roll and a bad stealth role on the NPCs's part lets you notice her! Perception 22 (including -5 penalty for range!) and Stealth 20. Go ahead and take a standard action now. Valya is just behind the sixth Ithorian in the row of civilians on the street.

Overview of how your forces are arrayed about the planet. Some of the fleet and the command ship is behind one of the 6 moons of Ithor. Shawn and his forces are blockading the planet.

Aboard the Icebreaker...

As soon as he read the message, Shawn gets back in the Ops Room, completely ignoring the news about the fighters and bombers.

"Zannc, I need a copy of the deciphered transmission from my terminal. And I need a safe connection to Admiral Nehouse. NOW!" Shawn says out loud. He never yells and is always in control, but he let's his crew know that this is an urgent matter.

At a Republic checkpoint in the city...

Keyes doesn't turn his eyes from the cloaked figure and raises his rifle, aiming in her directin.

"Stay where you are but watch out. And get over here, Tarak!" he shouts towards his comrades and the Jedi. "I think that's her."

He slowly walks towards the woman, keeping his sights on her and switching his blaster to the stun setting. "Alright lady, don't kriffing move or we are forced to take you down," Keyes says so that she can hear him. "Get down on the ground and stretch your arms above your head."
Move five squares S.
Aim.

The act is up. Valya Lockhart, hearing Keyes's stern voice, looks to her left. She can see the man's armor - his feet, actually - from below the cloak of her hood. Feeling the hold-out blaster in her right hand, she quickly makes a step to her left, crouching, and fires towards Keyes, striking him squarely and damaging his armor.
Sidestep left. Attack 24, hit for 14 damage.
Tarak, seeing the action break out, rushes to action...

Igniting his lightsaber, the Jedi Padawan runs forward. The last battle playing out in this mind, he seizes upon the Force, trying to yank the Sith's blaster from his hand. This time, however, Valya has learned her lesson. The weapon stays firmly in her grasp...

Immediately, the civilians start to scatter!

Keyes...
Tarak moves 6 s. Ignites LS. Force Disarm 23. Fail.

"Sithspit," Keyes exclaims as he stumbles back a half step from the impact on his armor. "Use Stun Bolts. Take her out." And Keyes instantly opens fire on the woman, but tries to keep his distance. If she's actually a Sith then he doesn't want to be too close to her. At least as long as she's conscious.
Shoot the Sith.
Stay where he is.
While Keyes engages the woman, the other soldiers slowly approach the woman, but not as fast since they don't want to get caught in the mass of fleeing civilians, moving in a line through them like a comb through tangled hair. They also switch to the stun setting of their blaster rifles and shoot at the woman in the cloak whenever they have a clear view on her.
Move S 3x.
Shoot when no civilian is blocking their line of fire.

As the fight progresses, the civilians begin to flee, leaving clear shooting lanes for Keyes and the troopers under his command. Like good soldiers, they follow commands and begin to walk forward, each popping off a shot in Valya's direction, along with the corporal himself. The Sith Apprentice, however, even without a lightsaber, is too fast. Lokhart dodges to the left, then right, then ducks two more shots and all of the attacks miss her.
Attack Keyes 15, Troopers 20, 10, 13. All miss.
Valya Lokhart...

.. sprints to her right, Sith robes flowing about her lithe body. She pushes a civilian aside and then bounds upwards one meter, leaving the street below and landing on an elevated sidewalk. Training her blaster now on Tarak, she shoots. The Padawan, though, is no easy target and manages to evade the blaster bolt.
Move. Jump 1 meter 21 vs 12 - success. Shoot Tarak 13. Miss.
Tarak...

... sees the Sith Apprentice leave the street. Grinning, his green lightsaber humming at his side, Tarak moves to cut off the fleeing enemy. He dashes to his left and then, with the Force as his ally, gracefully leaps into the air, sommersaults, and then lands on the sidewalk , perfectly square with Valya Lokhart.

Holding his saber midline, Tarak says, "Going somewhere?"
Move. Jump 24 vs DC 12. Success! I count the jump as an extra square of movement. The book says to add the distance in to the rate of movement, but I think jumping up or down should count for a square. As far as the civilians go in the picture I'll post next, they are just there for effect. Ignore them as far as game mechanics go.
