Chapter Synopsis Log

Post by Shurijo » Tue Feb 08, 2011 5:38 am

This is a chapter synopsis log.

Players, please don't post here. I'll try to keep this up-to-date as the stories progress, so everyone can refer here for the big events/recap of the stories.

This will be updated as we go. I'll do one post per chapter. Chapter 1 isn't finished yet, but I wanted to write it all down now.

Chapter 1

Alton Zet - veritas
During a technology demonstration, Alton Zet and Kareb Lai (his research assistant) and Atlantian Defense Force personnel General Rap, Captain Nehe, and three soldiers were ambushed by three League of Humanity drones. During the post-attack investigation, Alton and Kareb discovered the drones were unusually weak against standard Atlantian Orichalcum based blast attacks and that most of the drone technology looks very much like Atlantian based technology. As they began to make their discovers, Kareb was kidnapped but was able to leave behind a video recording of her attack later discovered by Alton. This video recording (with audio only) showed Captain Nehe (the military technology liaison) perpetrating the kidnapping and theft of the drone technology and sabotage of their research findings. After Nehe planted evidence in Alton's apartment, the Atlantian Security Forces were sent to arrest Alton. Upon serving the arrest warrant, Alton blasted back and eventually gave himself up to be arrested after his communication that included the video was sent to the King, civic council members, and others, was reviewed and his arrest warrant rescinded. During the arrest of Captain Nehe, he reveals that Kalta Jel (the outspoken Atlantian scientist) is working with a group comprised of mutants and humans called the Intelligencia. This group consists of geniuses that seek to exert their control over earth.

Orion - Trogdor
Orion and Solarflare (Celestial Protectors) along with Skirnir (Celestial Ambassador) take flight on the Zu Corumbae to a secret location for an unusual event - a meeting of all Celestial ambassadors and protectors. During the meeting, the Guardians reveal that the A'Qal - the mysterious civilization that has been destroying planets - are possibly from the future and return to destroy planets that interfere with their future plans. Each of these planets produce a distinctive signal for a brief moment before the A'Qal forces arrive. At the conclusion of the meeting, the largest ever recorded A'Qal force appears and begin to attack the Celestial ships. The protectors give a valiant fight, but the A'Qal strength are in numbers and the orders to retreat are given. The Zu Corumbae's cosmic energy generator was inoperable, but Orion quickly came to the rescue sacrificing his own energy to give energy for the ship's hyperdrives. As he powered the ship, Solarflare defended it long enough for it to jump away from the battle, but she was unable to follow the Zu Corumbae to earth. The Celestials land on earth and Skirnir heads to meet with human and mutant leaders as Orion proceeds to hunt for the A'Qal signal and meet with the Atlantians.

Matthew Beckett - Hayabusa
Matthew Beckett received a note from an old colleague, Tishka Gromev, who said he had some important information. As he made his way to the destination, Beckett was surprised to met an old contact - the Turkish international arms dealer - Ruzgar Polat and his men. After a brief altercation, Polat revealed that he had taken Tishka hostage and Polat's son had been kidnapped by Craig Cobb - the NSA agent Beckett had crossed many years ago leading to his CIA rogue status and inability to return to the states. Meanwhile, the European Agency had located Beckett and closed in on his location. After a RPG took out their vehicle, Beckett and Tishka left Polat and his men at the truck and took off hoping to flee the area. The Agents then pursued Matthew and Tishka, and they soon found themselves trapped within an old barn. Matthew quickly took care of two of the sharpshooters and Tishka finished the squadleader with a pitchfork through the chest. The two then departed for the Polat's plane and onwards to Japan to find Zeki Kaya. His only leads are the Golden Blossom Academy and Polat's contact there, a man named Shinichi Matsumoto and leader of the Scorpion Horde (yakuza).

Ghost - Tet'Nak
Gregory Lewis Scott was recruited at a young age by the Americas Region Agency. After spending several years of training there, he was assigned to the Delta X squad under the command of the hard-nosed Lieutenant Carly Banks, who showed no kindness towards mutants of any kind. During their first mission, the squad was ambushed by the Sanctuary led by Shepard and Karma. Karma switched bodies with Lt. Banks to infiltrate the Agency. The squad member/mutant called Blitz surrendered to the Sanctuary racked by guilt of the mutants he had detained over the years. The squad member/mutant Claw resisted, but then the human/cyborg called Cipher used electronic bindings to subdue Claw. Lewis, aka Ghost, accepted Shepard's offer to bring down the Agency and they teleported to the Sanctuary's secret underground cavern via the mutant Blink. A team consisting of Ghost, Cipher, Shepard, Blitz, and Blink departed for Japan to enlist the help of Kenjiro Matsumoto (known as the Iron Scorpion) a katana wielding martial artist, the brother of Shinichi Matsumoto who leads a ninja-based Yakuza using his magical Scorpion Claw. Ghost and Kenjiro infiltrate Shinichi's castle while the others provide a distraction.
